  • @jleo...well USa already going chinasyndrome on us...that LA times story is wiped. Can't let the truth out that chaos will ensue sooner rather than later.....this'll be good for Bernie !

  • Kaboom. Just like that.

  • When there is no cure, you know what you need.

  • @stonebat

When there is no cure, you know what you need.

No, you need fully opposite thing to the people who fucked medic science and medicine in general.

All this "love" and "pray" stuff are not proper things for 21th century where billions of people can't fucking stop simple long molecules packed into specific protective thing (and is non living form even).

  • Please don’t say love is not what we need.

In the movie Interstellar, the protagonist saves the world by sending messages from future to past through gravitational force. He didn’t try to save mankind. It was his love for only one person he loves the most.

Such movies express all that Hollywood guys think, thoughts of parasites.

We don't need abstract "love" we need normal science, social organization and push all the scum who are making such horrible mess now into the historic dumpster.

  • Thanks Stonebat for posting the Beatles clip. It reminds me of my youth where two years previously when, if you were out in the evenings and happened to have eye contact with another male, you were quite likely to be met with "what are you staring at me for?". Two years later you would be more likely to to be acknowledged with a smile. This morning I heard a leading doctor from the WHO on the radio talking about the heroic and, so far, effective efforts of the Chinese government to contain the epidemic. He also paid tribute to the Chinese public and their readiness to pull together for the common good and wondered whether the public in the West will be capable of that. Maybe love isn't all you need but it helps.

  • COVID-19 cases of unknown source perplex researchers

Studies on the evolutionary relations between the novel coronaviruses have provided more clues, suggesting it's still difficult to determine the origin of the virus, while experts called for more solid and authoritative researches. The US has found at least four COVID-19 cases of unknown source, media reported Saturday. "The two concerns should be put together to consider to avoid arbitrary information without adequate evidence," Zhang said..

An English paper submitted by Yu Wenbin, an associate researcher at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, to ChinaXiv on February 21 indicated that the Huanan Seafood Market in Wuhan, the epidemic epicenter, might not be where the virus was originally from. The article said the haplotypes of the 58 new coronaviruses, numbered H1-H58, were divided into five groups: A, B, C, D, and E, with A being the oldest and E the youngest. However, in Hubei, only coronavirus from Group C are detected, but in the US the viruses from all five groups have been found. Therefore, Yu and his colleagues believe that the novel coronavirus which caused the epidemic in Hubei might be imported from some other places.

Zhou further explained that the research is science based. "If all the test results of novel coronavirus in the US are found to be Group C, then it might be transmitted from China. But if not, it might be local." The article was echoed by Pan Hwai-tzong, a pharmacologist in Taiwan in a recent local TV show, who noted that more multiple genetic types of the new coronavirus have been found in the COVID-19 cases in the US than those in the Chinese mainland.

Wuhan virologist Yang Zhanqiu told the Global Times on Saturday that unknown cases of the US influenza deaths need further retrospective examination before a conclusion could be made where it originated. More inexplicable evidence is complicating COVID-19 knowledge. The Lombardy outbreak in Italy was from a man who never met anyone from China, local media la Repubblica reported. A patient in California diagnosed with coronavirus infection did not travel anywhere known to have the virus, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Wednesday night. The patient was also not exposed to anyone infected.
  • An Australian newspaper known for its tongue-in-cheek antics published eight blank pages saying it was giving readers what they needed amid panic-buying of toilet paper during

    Progress.

  • ...an infected person could transmit the virus to four people at the same time. Therefore it is expected that 30-40 per cent of Tehran’s population will be infected with the virus by March.

  • Most healthy people will go unscathed. But there are many sick folks.

"In fact, today one in four U.S. adults have two or more chronic conditions (heart disease, cancer, stroke, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and diabetes.)"

COVID-19 is a catalyst to greater health risk for those who are already in health risk. Also on global trade risk, already stressed debt risk, overloaded school systems, and more existing issues. Instead of addressing those underlying issues that we knew for decades, there are plenty of finger pointing, racial stigma, political games, and all kinda madness going on in the world.

I think this is just the beginning. There will be more deadly COVID-20, 21, 22, and so on in the coming decades. Especially COVID-22 in rhyme with Catch-22. The virus must have sixth sense of humor making dumb people dumber.

Instead of reading another speculative articles, I'll check on my families, friends, and neighbors. Ask for their well being. See what I can help them. Keep myself busy....even on brink of this pandemic crisis. Life will go on even if it becomes peach black. Those spending all free time on reading such articles are doing it only for themselves.

Something like it, if society don't go further with progress - it'll fall back.

    Let's Marxist definition of freedom

Freedom does not consist in any dreamt-of independence from natural laws, but in the knowledge of these laws, and in the possibility this gives of systematically making them work towards definite ends. This holds good in relation both to the laws of external nature and to those which govern the bodily and mental existence of men themselves -- two classes of laws which we can separate from each other at most only in thought but not in reality. Freedom of the will therefore means nothing but the capacity to make decisions with knowledge of the subject.

Freedom therefore consists in the control over ourselves and over external nature, a control founded on knowledge of natural necessity; it is therefore necessarily a product of historical development. The first men who separated themselves from the animal kingdom were in all essentials as unfree as the animals themselves, but each step forward in the field of culture was a step towards freedom.

From this definition and coronavirus stuff going around you can see that capitalist society is not free society and quite opposite - it is ruled by oppressors who mostly fear real science and progress.

  • Of course freedom is not free.

  • @stonebat

And initial "investment" is to get rid of capitalist ruling class.

  • I don’t think that’s how the world changes. When breast feeding moms come out to streets because of her loved ones in great danger, we shall see a wave of major real changes. I don’t think we are there yet.

Some might shout, “How can you do nothing if you can see it is coming?” Well for many people, changing a diaper of their crying baby is more important in most of the time. No one can condemn them. What do you think how you were raised by your parents?

  • @stonebat

Usually moms do not do revolutions :-) I love feminists, but sorry, not yet, at least in mass.

Also it'll be always weak link initially.

  • evidence of that "other" scenario....https://www.globalresearch.ca/china-coronavirus-shocking-update/5705196 @stonebat....haha...really ? The cure, if ever there will be one, will come after we know the true origin of the virus. Good ...go out and take care of your loved ones, but if you don't know anything about what you're up against, reminds me of don quixote and those pesky windmills. I choose to be deeply informed but others voluntarily choose willful ignorance. It's a free world...maybe. Americans might feel different about that so called freedom, if they learn their own govt released the virus. I love the Beatles...shit...I saw the Beatles live ! ...but all those vibes don't stand a chance in this fight.

  • @Vitaliy....ya ,after this virus we can go after that other , the billionaire virus. And still looks like the bear is sitting pretty with like 12 cases ! And per your comment about testing not being profitable...not true, if looked upon as preventing a depression. The lack of tests in the USa appears to be intentional. Even Pompeo is blaming the chinese.

  • All we need to know about capitalism:

British airlines are being forced to operate empty “ghost” flights during the coronavirus outbreak or risk losing airport landing slots.

Carriers are flying some jets without any passengers at all because of controversial “use it or lose it” rules governing space at European airports.

  • Italian government's inotoruced drastic measures to try to contain the coronavirus epidemic in Italy. The "closure" of the entire Lombardy Region and 11 provinces in Veneto, Piedmont, Emilia Romagna and Marche is arranged .

These are the provinces of Modena, Parma, Piacenza, Reggio Emilia, Rimini in Emilia Romagna, Pesaro and Urbino in the Marche, Venice, Padua, Treviso in the Veneto , Asti and Alessandria in Piedmont .

The Prime Minister, Giuseppe Conte, according to the draft circulated first by Reuters, the inhabitants are advised not to enter or leave the Lombardy Region and the other provinces indicated. It is recommended to stay at home and not go out except for emergencies or essential work needs. Schools will be closed at least until April 3.

  • @Vitality About the breast feeding women, that’s what Magnum photographers had said just before WWII broke out.

@kurth “You don’t know what you are up against.” LoL so what are you going to do? Start digging and build your own apocalyptic bunker? Good luck~

  • @stonebat

that’s what Magnum photographers had said just before WWII broke out.

When breast feeding moms come out to streets because of her loved ones in great danger, we shall see a wave of major real changes.

You mean that it is not socialism who won WWII but breast feeding moms? As I did not see any real changes in EU for almost all WWII time.

  • @stonebat....if it hits where I'm living, I hope to be ready to shut my family inside my semicompound for up to 3 months as the wave passes. I've done 2 big shopping trips already and will probably have time for a few more. Shit...I love staying at home anyway ! I think if you look at what's happening in Seattle it is pretty obvious what someone has to do to prevent getting sick. https://www.zerohedge.com/health/all-hospital-beds-us-will-be-filled-coronavirus-patients-about-may-8th-according-analysis ....says all USa hospital beds will be taken by the first of may. In mexico, it'll be even worse, but we might (fingers crossed) be behind the USa wave. It's a free world amigo. And I'll have the Beatles blasting eating my tuna sandwich.
