Mine showed up today. Are there any specific questions/requests for footage, etc. that people have which haven't already been covered in the bazillion or so reviews?
try to make scientific measurement of overheating behavior :-)
@ eatstoomuchjam, if you could test the low light capibilities with Clear Image Zoom engaged (1.4x and 2.0x in S35 mode) that would be appreciated. With a 3x crop factor some of my 1" c-mount lenses should get some new life, if it's not to noisy in low light. Thanks. Mark
From the samples I have watched on the net, I have the impression that this cameras has better colors than A7s :)

@majoraxis I can do some tests of that, but it seems like a weird choice to spend $3300 on a full-frame 4K camera so that you can use lenses built for a 1" sensor in 1080p mode on it. Why not just spend a lot less to get an A6000 or similar and use its zoom mode? They're something like 1/5 the price.
@ eatstoomuchjam - Thanks! I assume it will still be able to record 4k even with the crop. I won't be using a c-mount lens exclusively, but I do have a 1" 6.5mm 1.8f, 1" 8.5mm 1.5f, 1" 25mm .95f etc that looked good on the BMPCC and Nikon 1, so if and the A7R II can shoot 4K in with a 3x corp with decent low light then it is one more reason to purchase the camera.
You know it would be upscaled 4K, yes?
Ps.S. I love my S-16 lenses too…

@ nomad - thanks for the info! I was not aware of how Clear Image Zoom zoomed, from the link:
It seems I would be OK with how it is zooming into the image then upscaling it to 4k.Would it be better to shoot s35 4k then crop in post by 2x or use 2x Clear Image Zoom with an 4k upscaled image in terms of quality?
Depends on recording, I'd say. Since internal recording is giving only twice the data rate to four times the number of pixels, I'd rather record HD internally. But if you record 4K externally with something like the Shogun, 4K should be better. At least that's the case with the A7S when recording from APS-C window in 4K, even if it's not real 4K at the source. I've not tested the A7RII yet.
That eoshd cine flat looks pretty ugly
@majoraxis Here you go. Given the loss in resolution by using Clear Image Zoom and the poor noise performance, I'd continue suggesting against buying a $3,200 US camera to use it, if your intent is to use your 1" lenses a lot. The best low light performance seems to be, as most reviewers have said, in APS-C mode.
(As of the time I write this, youtube is still processing it - it'll probably be a little bit before it's available in 4k)
I thought the A7RII to shame to GH4, the A7II is superior to that sensitivity, but not a huge difference.
Most of the provided images the ISO is up to 400 which pretty much every modern camera can get some good results at. Want to see 6400 and up with verious shooting condition.
@abolit If your use case is shooting at ISO 6400 or higher, you should probably just look at the A7s or wait for the A7s II. The A7r II is usable at 6400, but it's not great.
