I got my 6 this week :-) Feels very solid with a nice grip. Have to get used to the controls though.... Since this is my first NEX camera I also bought some lenses with it, 50mm 1.8 and 19mm 2.8 sigma
Downloaded the Time-laps app and made a time-laps with it Settings are 24P - second interval Shutterspeed is set at 1 second and used an ND filter on the Sigma 19mm There is a dustspot on the lens or sensor.... Clip is strait out of the camera.
Another time-laps with playmemories Timelaps app Same settings as above.
After updateing the new firmware on my Nex6 it seems like the aliasing and moire is even worse than before.. this camera is an aliasing nightmare
NEX-6 produces very good quality images. Exposure is accurate, with the D-Range Optimizer providing just the right amount of contrast. Colors are vibrant and will be pleasing to the NEX-6's target audience. Photos don't display a lot of 'grainy' luminance noise, though that's at the expense of fine detail, such as hair or grass (even at low ISOs). For best results, you'll want to shoot RAW, which not only brings back some of that detail, but it also gives you access to shadows and highlights that were otherwise lost. The NEX-6 automatically reduces various lens issues, such as chromatic aberrations, distortion, and vignetting.
The NEX-6 is an very competent and fun-to-use mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. It performs as well or better than other mirrorless cameras on the market, and offers some unique features that are genuinely useful. With the addition of Wi-Fi, the NEX's feature set is arguably the best in its class. The new mode dial and hot shoe have made it a bit more 'traditional' than its predecessors, though the clunky, menu-driven interface remains largely untouched.
The 16MP Sony NEX-6 packs a powerful punch for a compact ILC. Great image quality,EVF, built in flash and Wi-Fi make it a fan favorite.

The Sony NEX-6 is much less expensive than the one year older NEX-7, but offers most photographers much more photography pleasure. The NEX-6 offers less megapixels (smaller files), better noise performance and a handy settings dial. Additionally, the OLED viewfinder, the 99-point facial detection AF system and the tilting display of 921.000 pixels is equal in both cameras. The Sony NEX-6 is also equipped with a WiFi function, which makes it possible to share photos and download apps. The compact mirrorless hybrid camera offers outstanding image quality and is easy to operate. With the Sony NEX-6 you truly do not miss out on anything.
Updated remote app
You can check the focus of your shot immediately on your smartphone or tablet by magnifying the recorded image.

Just picked up one of these to replace my Canon EOS M, which had terrible photo image quality. The NEX 6 meets and exceeds my expectations as far as photos and control are concerned. Haven't tested video yet, but the focus peaking and magnification are super handy either way. Have a Metabones Nikon to NEX Speedbooster sitting on my doorstep right now, too! :D Can't wait to give that a shot with my fast AI-S lenses.
