That looks like a great camera. Are there any new lenses to go with it?
I like the form factor, it seems to be a great compromise between the 5 and 7 (although I'm not sure about that viewfinder..).
@mogxsvcd The Sony announcement for the August 28th:
Sony Nex 5r.
Sony Nex 6.
Sony 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6: It is a pancake zoom with OSS and power zoom.
Sony 11-18mm f/4.0.
Sony 35mm f/1.8.
Ha. Built-in EVF!
Is the rectangular shaped dial mode for full manual control? I presume it would support FHD 24p, 30p, and 60p.
@stonebat -- Should have everything you're after, they wouldn't pull back features from the 5n.
NEX 6 has a new 2359k dot image on viewfinder (similar to NEX 7) Also it will have apps for iPhone and Android for remote control and settings
Wonder what they did with the Nex5 high speed video mode ?
@pomoville I hope so, too. I'm not getting it though. Neither EOS-M, RX100, LX7, BMC, etc. Gh2 and a bunch of lenses are good enough for me, but I'm just curious about new products. It seems the world is never running out of early adopters.
First post updated to reflect all available info.
Interesting. Would be cool if the nex hack is applied to this one. After watching the sample videos, it's kind of surprising how similar the NEX and GH3 are now. The colors and everything just have a really similar feel. I'll probably hang onto the GH2 and get the NEX6. Love the grip and the texture around the body as well.
Is the LCD in 16:9 native ratio? What's native ratio of the view finder?
Shooting with the new Sony NEX6 Lens: 16-50mm Think the camera is really good - even for film
