May be Panasonic will make price lower due to A6500?

Why is the battery grip so expensive? It's have the price of the body. $199 would be more reasonable. UK gets one for free.
@smoke23 I agree it is overpriced and don't think they will sell that many. If it had a headphone jack it would be a must have without I'll pass. I think they missed an opportunity IMO.
Does anyone know if the contacts on the bottom of the G80 means it can work with the YAGH Module?
It cannot. Only Battery grip.
This is a workaround for the Sony a6300 to have a headphone jack, since the G85 can have dual recording with the HDMI, this could be a workaround to the missing headphone jack.
First, this is more handy (lack two points of failure) and cheaper
Plus headphone amp
Another option is to get $36 sound recorder with PCM recording and line in and headphone out, so you will have backup sound and can you otherwise use as stereo mike..
Final solution (with least points of failure)
Micro HDMI to 3.5mm line adapter ($5.75)
Mini 5V 3.5mm 2 in 1 Wireless Bluetooth Audio Transmitter, $14.5
Attach using small transmitter cable and use sticky tape to fix them together.
Wireless Bluetooth headphones, per your liking, from $5 to $30
Does this camera (automatically?) stabilise Olympus zoom lenses?
@cas1 the IBIS will stabilize any lens.
I think question is if it works with native m43 Olympus zooms. Of course you can set focal length manually and such with any, even manual lens.
It would be nice if the stabilisation is automatically adjusted according to the focal length the camera detects from the lens' electronics. - I think it would be easy to program in firmware / software.
Has Panasonic a to-do list for updating their DUAL IS? - so cheaper lenses like the 100-300 also benefit from dual IS?
Need to try this. Looks much better compared to clutter in video .
I just know that this beast use the same battery type as GH2. Really an appealing upgrade for GH2 owner without the need of CINE 4K video mode!
@vitaliy_Kiselev would your final solution to audio monitoring work on a Panasonic G6?
It also has mike input. But most probably HDMI does not work during recording, otherwise must work.
Another review:
pssssss... MikeLinn sleeps! http://www.pocket-lint.com/review/138328-panasonic-lumix-g80-review-affordable-foray-into-4k
^^ Review is riddled with inaccuracies. Prime among them the claim that IBIS is only active for focal lengths below 100mm and that it can't be used for video recording.
True, i read it after post it.
Tests lately really improved

And Panasonic made this GIF file, I suppose all UK branch worked on it last month 6 days a week
