Sony A7 Mark 2 version 1.0 vs version 1.10 steadyshot test
I think this is very nice solution for run&gun shooting ... Also great that it can work with manual old lenses too :-)
The Sony A7 II is a refinement of the original A7, and doesn’t break a ton of new ground. However, the refinements bring what was a very good camera and turn it into a truly outstanding camera.
Sony took everything it learned from the launch of the original A7 and made it better. Yes, the A7 II is heavier and, yes, it is missing attributes, like 4K video. However, those compromises (if you can call them that) mean the new camera starts at $1,700 for the body only, making it relatively accessible to prosumers.
The Sony A7II is an absolutely brilliant camera for street photography and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s definitely the best interchangeable lens camera I’ve ever used.

Selling all my panasonic GH stuff. I'm gonne buy a sony A7s or A7 II.
While current Sony A7 owners may be groaning because of the quick refresh to their brand new camera, they can rest assured that the A7 Mk II is really nothing more than a further attempt to snatch up the professional market.

Hm, is there any video max recording time limit for US-models?
- The average image is improved by about two stops.
- The average minus one sigma image is improved by about two and a half stops.
- With IBIS on, the tightness of the standard deviation is almost as good at 1/15 second as it is at 1/125.
Color is good!
I can't wait for the A7s II and GH5 to come out so I can compare them.

Found this footage - shot with the FE 70-200, all handheld:
The A7 Mark II improves on the A7, with improved handling and controls, and the camera feels comfortable in use, although the additional weight could put some people off, along with the higher price. The finish on the weather-sealed magnesium alloy body has been updated to include a design and style more similar to a Digital SLR, and the larger hand-grip will help when using the camera with larger lenses. The 24.3 megapixel full-frame sensor delivers excellent results, the improved resolution tilting screen looks great, and built in Wi-Fi and NFC makes transferring images easy.
