Capitalism: War coming, Germany revived air emergency system

    At September 10th Germany will have check of recently renewed and revived warning system consisting of loud sirens across all major cities.

    It is first check in last 30 years and system had been silently restored in last year after being mostly destroyed, visually most of the sirens while still remained on their places had been broken or had wires and communications cut.

    Germany is quickly returning to Cold war status, including fast additions to their army and concentrating first time since 40s on the attack weapons and widening of attack nuclear rockets. US advisers oversee new sites and preparations of new army parts.

    Meanwhile, here is something to study. China has announced it plans to boost its strategic commodities reserves to assuage anxiety over energy and food security. Starting in 2021, it will make what Bloomberg calls “mammoth” purchases of crude, strategic materials, and farm goods, officials apparently say. This is being done to ensure China can ride out any repeat of this year’s supply disruptions, or a deterioration in trade relations with the US, for example. This is apparently part of the shift to “internal circulation”, or greater self-reliance, which is already being flagged, and which will kick in for the five year plan 2021-25.

    I see nothing bad with it, as China knows that capitalism will suffer and it is nice time to get stuff cheap.

    US hope was not war, but to use part of Chinese elite. Trump now do it almost impossible as his measures and proclamations put this part of elites against all Chinese society and their historical memory, hence helping the peace to persist.
