27 inch Monitor as GUI monitor for editing/grading - cheap

Hey people,
as I see that even 4K monitors can be cheap and every year there is a load of new monitors I totally lost overview. Is there a 27" panel from say a couple of years ago that you would recommend so I can snatch it on ebay for peanuts? Dont need 4K, 1440p would be more than enough. Or has display tech come so far in the last 3 years that you would recommend buying new? I do have a 10bit color grading monitor. So color accuracy is no main spec requirement.
