Their setup
I am not big fan of it, as using lens on camera have certain consequences (and it seems that they ignored them), as well as using spectrometer such way. Normally splitting fiber optics is used for this, and no lens on camera.

The interesting part is comparing the RGB separation of film with electronic sensors.
