    Cool concept but you could do the same thing in After Effects for alot less money and alot less time.

    I don't think you could do this in AE. I have done exactly this concept for a Panasonic product launch some years ago and used AE for compositing moving light writing with a 360 deg camera array. To do this as a post production effect would require 3D light creation and camera tracking a real shoot with masking for foreground and background. Doing this kind of effect in-camera is not very expensive.
