Percentage of 24h day spent on activities
American Facebook users spend way more time on the social network than exercising. Mark Zuckerberg said today on Facebook’s Q2 earnings call that “people on Facebook in the US spend around 40 minutes each day using our service”, while the CDC recommends Americans exercise 21 minutes a day but only 20% of people meet that goal.
Huh.
Britons spend more time using technology devices than they do sleeping, research suggests.
Communications regulator Ofcom said UK adults spend an average of eight hours and 41 minutes a day on media devices, compared with the average night's sleep of eight hours and 21 minutes.
Almost four hours a day are spent watching TV according to Ofcom's survey of 2,800 UK adults and children.

3% (== 43.2 minutes per day) "purchasing stuff" - that sounds an awful lot. But maybe it's just 0.1% for males and 5.9% for females ;-)
