Capitalism: Why being libertarian and using common "logic" is dangerous

  • Bankruptcy filings in the region have skyrocketed since the middle of March, when the state of New York reported its first deaths from Covid-19 and Governor Andrew Cuomo closed all nonessential businesses. There were 610 filings in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York from March 16 to Sept. 27, according to court records. That's a 40 percent jump from the same period in 2019 and the most by far for any year since the financial crisis. The districts include some nearby counties.

Almost 6,000 New York City businesses closed from March 1 to Sept. 11, according to Yelp, the website of user reviews. Over 4,000 of those closed permanently.

Once you hit below 60 degrees... between 25 and 50 percent of restaurants in New York City will not come back.

A third of our small businesses could be closed if it won't be strong recovery soon. The fate of small businesses will determine the fate of the city.

    Who could have thought.

  • It is lot of logic flaws here.

First, why bike had been standing right at the door entry, not inside and not outside. Like it had been placed to make such nice effect. As firefighters just kicked it down and effect had been gone.

Second, why Louis is so sure in his bridge rectifier diodes? Why he is so sure in circuit brakes, as fire happened instantly after they had been used, some water from condensation inside (or that went via rain) could cause short circuit exactly at this moment. Also no one actually know that he had been doing right at this moment, as it can be completely different from that he told.

Third, battery assembly company is not who is directly and solely responsible for such hazards, as it is usually user or 18650 cells suppliers. Thanks to Samsung, LG and few others patents and cell prices it is huge invective to make fake cells now by each player on this market. Especially for high current cells that Louis asked for.

Forth, blaming that sales girl who knows English and is not expert in electronics is quite stupid, she is not who makes or designs batteries.

Last, is it so accidental that attack on Chinese company coincided with Youtube/Google promotion of such videos?

  • We are more alone than ever in an increasingly massified world that promotes individual interests and weakens the communitarian dimension of life. Indeed, there are markets where individuals become mere consumers or bystanders. As a rule, the advance of this kind of globalism strengthens the identity of the more powerful, who can protect themselves, but it tends to diminish the identity of the weaker and poorer regions, making them more vulnerable and dependent. In this way, political life becomes increasingly fragile in the face of transnational economic powers that operate with the principle of “divide and conquer”.

The world was relentlessly moving towards an economy that, thanks to technological progress, sought to reduce “human costs”; there were those who would have had us believe that freedom of the market was sufficient to keep everything secure. Yet the brutal and unforeseen blow of this uncontrolled pandemic forced us to recover our concern for human beings, for everyone, rather than for the benefit of a few.

In is important to understand that Louis libertarian views are actually even more right than fascism, as fascism appeared exactly from the dreams of scared libertarian petty bourgeoisie that had been used by large financial capital and shifted to the left to be more or less useful to fool other people.

  • Look how Louis behaves likereal enemy of the people, defending contracts and Apple deeds that are clearly against common interests. He such way defend Apple, as he basically tell you that company can destroy common property costing tens of billions of dollars because it will bring more profits (selling new phones). This crappy "logic" comes from libertarian values and they are coming from his position being head of small business. We already saw during first lockdown how all libertarian stuff had been wiped away and big "help, and give me money!" remained.

  • Note how here Louis almost openly lies that Apple is somehow caring for your privacy, while in same time it is working in tight contact with FBI, NSA, CIA providing all they need and implanting holes where they need them.

Such lie can be unintentional and comes from inner parts of the brain that want more profits, as if poor Apple users will realize reality it will be less high paid and quite easy work (as it is around 100x less Mac models compared to usual PC notebooks service) .

  • Half of all small businesses expect to need more aid from the government over the next 12 months to survive, according to a survey by the right-leaning National Federation of Independent Business. Sales for about one-fifth of small companies are still down 50% or more from pre-pandemic levels.

May be it is time to let them perish? And allow more efficient owners to make their own business?

  • And here we go again, as Louis became scared he finds anyone who refused to follow laws and orders, as he also want to repeat this. I have no idea why Louis think that his quite generic small repair business or this totally generic food business have high value to society. In fact, history teach us that such small businesses regularly died in million and no one cared.

  • The New York state governor announced on Tuesday that parts of the city would go back into full or partial lockdown as he unveiled a colour-coded “cluster initiative” closing non-essential businesses, schools and limiting capacity of places of worship in the worst affected areas.

The scheme, designed to target Covid-19 hotspots where infection rates have significantly increased, will send some neighbourhoods in Brooklyn, Queens and the northern suburbs – including some with sizeable Orthodox populations – back into lockdown on Thursday.

This is that Louis is afraid of. But this time his old tactics won't work.

  • It is good reason Louis is so popular, as besides being good in his job he always do that ruling class wants to hear, he don't get orders, he just feels that is needed to be said and done.

Want to hear fairy tale on how everyone can be successful businessman? You'll get it. It is utter lie, but who cares.

Want to hear fairy tale on how services and data restore facilities don't work with CIA and FBI? You'll get it. Despite I am sure that Louis signed multiple papers and provided multiple batches of totally private and even encrypted data to proper people. No one can prove it, but it is whole point. It is just 1-2 people who need to know and they'll be for long years in jail for disclosing it.

This note service made that good honest people should do and even had brains to understand who FBI in US presently are.

Just get small pause as Louis will go for another government support credit. And after this will paint same government with dirt for not letting market forced to decide the firms fate. Paradox.

  • It is fun how Louis is defending totally broken system and badly wants for it to continue to be this way.
Here you can see totally and openly his new greedy side, still very diplomatic and with pretense to be his old "worker" side, but it is not. His position towards interns comes not from logic, but from pure economic calculations at the present time, including space and time limits. But give coronavirus a little more time and it will turn 180 degrees, as to survive during hard time Louis will be more than happy to get any intern. We already see quick degradation of type of orders he gets, as offline orders plummeted and they had been most simple and most profitable. And instead he gets more and more very hard and complex repairs via mail. Most of mail in businesses have very hard time during last two years as quality of the job is degrading and mostly people send horrible condition stuff that had been further damaged by previous repair attempts.

  • In search of the good, true capitalism. Again. Same like the drunk man who search for something under the street lamp, just because it is bright and not because thing he search for still exist around.

"There are two classes, the proletariat and the bourgeoisie... And whoever isn't on one side is on the other".

    J. Reed

Time to understand that your workers are not "your friends" and it is not them who are searching to buy big house in NY for cash using COVID related government credit, money underpaid to workers, not paying to landlord fully and other similar stuff.

  • "Imperialism stage of capitalism I am living in seems fishy to me"

    Louis Rossman.

We need to cast this in granite.

  • Horrors and horrors around for our little capitalist. Again large companies want to do something bad. How we can change this? May be we need good people again, I mean, like in Apple? What? Did not work in Apple? Sad.

  • Interesting video, especially considering how beloved capitalism work for Louis (it does not, lot of cheating, lies and scam around, riots, stealing, etc) and how he still want normal thing that every capitalist want - to become large to survive in the hostile waters and later try to become monopoly.

  • But we still need "proper capitalism"... May be Louis actually needs some nice NY brick to make brain wiring to start working and making logical conclusions?

  • You seem to miss the point. Capitalism helps you keep sense of humor.

  • @stonebat

You seem to miss the point. Capitalism helps you keep sense of humor.

    No, I don't miss anything.

As for his workers it is all not funny, as they see their boss turning into full blown capitalist shark looking at them like they are not humans, but some machines, hence all the talk about replacing.

  • “When you can’t avoid something, enjoy it.” — anonymous

  • @stonebat

Capitalism is not something you can't avoid. It is just social system that people can change and already changed.

But proposing that it can be "capitalism with human face" and "proper good capitalism" as Louis is doing is just very bad thing.

And your proposal is full analogy to proposal of raped person to enjoy being raped. Sick thing.

  • Bad guys again, do not respect democracy :-)

Louis, it is just corporations who make the call to ruling class stating that it is their common interest to not allow it. And it is, as oppressed must not rise their voice and their opinion does not matter a lot. Only time it matters is either if it makes no difference or if ruling class is in big danger for not accepting it.

  • "Christmas is going to be a lot harder," Biden said. "And I don't want to scare anybody here, but understand the facts: we're likely to lose another 250,000 people dead between now and January. You hear me? Because people aren't paying attention. People aren't paying attention."

“The reality is December and January and February are going to be rough times. I actually believe they're going to be the most difficult time in the public health history of this nation largely because of the stress that it's going to put on our healthcare system," Redfield said on Wednesday, "So we're in that range, potentially, now starting to see 1500 to 2000 to 2500 deaths a day from this virus... And I do think, unfortunately, before we see February, we could be close to 450,000 Americans who have died from this virus."

Remember this is that Louis stands for, actually, being on the side of ruling class - he likes and want your deaths.

He just wanted it even better - no lockdowns, no vaccines and thriving small business, his business. Just few thousands more dead, but better for him.

  • Capitalists! Stop exploiting proletariat, where is your conscience? Pray for 6 hours and confess!

Ouch, shit, this never worked, but may be this time it'll be different?

  • On some Louis transformations that he describe in his videos about his life:

If a liberal is not at the trough, it is simply a liberal. After receiving the trough, it instantly becomes a right wing patriot, he now has something to defend. Having lost it, he instantly becomes a liberal back. And so on, ad infinitum.

  • On guys like Louis as they become "real businessman"

Cynicism, dishonesty and corruption of business people give grounds to assert that the goals of convicted criminals and those who are engaged in business are the same ... Crime is an extreme and most acute form of realizing the same ideals and values of bourgeois morality.

Note that Louis almost each day tells you about people like... himself. Just usually who are up the ladder, who are more criminal.

  • More on Louses of this world

It is common misconception that there is an oligarch - a dishonest monopolist who usurped the market by collusion and bribery of corrupt officials, but there is an "entrepreneur" - an honest business man to whom society should be grateful for his organizational efforts. In fact, an entrepreneur, businessman or capitalist (call it what you want) is an oligarch "in development", ie a world eater and a parasite that has not yet fully realized its potential, but actively strives for this. Of course, this may seem wild to someone, he will remember some Uncle Vanya who runs his own shop, often substitutes for the seller behind the counter, and will be amazed: “Is he a parasite? Is he a world eater? It must be some nonsense. " But after all, newborn cubs look cute and harmless, but then they grow into ferocious predators. Of course, just as in nature not every tiger cub survives to adulthood, so not every Uncle Vanya makes it to the middle size and large capitalist. But here it is important to understand the very essence: capital is born from the labor ... of someone else's labor. The capitalist lives off the appropriation of the unpaid share of the labor of his workers. Louis is absolutely no exclusion.
