Powering shotgun mic with phantom power

I have 2 shotgun mic from China. It works very well. HTDZ. Only problem if i power my mic with phantom power, normal mode dont work, only tele. There is no sound in normal mode. But if i power it with battery, it works. Tried on mixer and my af100. Same result. Any ideas? Thanx

I think it is just how it is made. Normal shotguns do not have any normal-tele stuff. As I understand it is just cheapest Chinese mike on ebay.
You can try to check MXL mikes. They are much better then cheap mikes, but still pretty affordable. I recommend http://www.mxlmics.com/microphones/field-recording/FR-300/, they are present on ebay

Thanks for the recommendation. haha price is pretty step compared to the HTDZ mic. Got it for USD20 but works surprising well and without hiss or background noise. LOL! Will check out the MXL mics! Cheers!
