I have very good contacts at Toontrack, so if you have any ideas that you might want to see in a product or a product of theirs you absolutely want to try out - I can try to forward it / see what I can do.
And the good 'ol STeven Slate drums - http://stevenslatedrums.com/
Also from Native Instrument: their new Kontakt instrument "Studio Drummer" - http://www.native-instruments.com/en/products/producer/powered-by-kontakt/studio-drummer/. A bit more tweak-able than the Abbey Road series, and with a whole bunch of "human played" grooves included (in many genres, too).
This is not just an update or a new digit added to the logo, it’s a completely new program, overhauled down to the tiniest detail.
EZdrummer 2 introduces a variety of new songwriting features, a new user interface, a remodeled audio engine, a new mixer with easy-to-use effect chains, two new sound libraries, as well as a selection of percussion.
Another route is Battery and use midi loops such as those from Groove Monkey.
Thanks for posting the above. I haven't tried out these out in a long time. Sure there has been much progress.
