@lsf2000 Awesome news! Have you tried them, or did you just discover them?

@Perder, I have 2 and 2 on the way :-)
The link i pasted is for a pack of 2 batteries. and they are only 19$ including shipping, so 9.5$ a piece, original at B&H is 50$ +shipping and that is the cheapest i have found. I don't know the quality of these cells in long time use, but DSTE seems to be good performers from past experiences.
I can recommend this charger as well: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/817154-REG/Pearstone_DLC_DMWBLC12_Duo_Battery_Charger_for.html
be careful! These batteries not shows it's level! I bought two. http://www.ebay.com/itm/2X-DSTE-1600mAh-DMW-BLC12-BLC12-Battery-Panasonic-DMC-GH2-GH2-Free-shipping-/280798897859?pt=Batteries_Chargers&hash=item4160eb26c3
the ownuser grip might be too plastic for serious work. I found that its nice when you only use it handheld, but screw it to a tripod and you'll find that you can do small tilts without unlocking the head of your tripod. That's not good. The back of the grip comes apart allowing your camera to tilt forward.
i just got mine yesterday... it feels so cheap.... thank god it works. the socket for the plug doesn't accept the dc plug for the gh2. now i need to find an adapter of some type. and the thing doesn't stay in place, it moves around and doesn't lock in to place. i feel like i wasted my money. later today, i'm going to go buy some velcro tape so it wont move around, and some hockey stick grip tape so it can actually be grippy.
Now that some users have had this battery grip for a while, I'm wondering how well it holds up after use. I sometimes with the GH2 was a bit larger for better ergonomics, and having a second battery immediately available would be nice. However, I'm concerned that the unit may be loose when mounted on a tripod. Any thoughts on this grip would be appreciated.
hi there, ok well i am after a battery grip for my sons GH2 but it seems the only place i can find them is here.
i found 2 ebay stores selling them cheaper but it turns out the one i wanted is for the GH1 not the GH2 so is the above link the only place to buy one.

i have also posted up a comment in the GH2 Battery forum offering suggestions for where to buy GH2 batteries and stand alone external power packs for powering cameras on shoots.
