A quick question for those of you who are devoting much time into these hacks. Is it a fools dream, or does there seem to be a glimpse of proof that somewhere down the line there would be a way to get a custom curve/color profile into these hacks that give us a flatter image? I wonder, since we can go from -2 contrast, to +2 if there is a way to extend that or add more levels to that. 5DtoRGB is great and all, but quite time consuming.
I have the same idea and asked the same question 5-6 months ago, but it was not welcome at all. The link below says it all: http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/comment/1993#Comment_1993
No need to make topic for each question.
We have topic exactly about this.
With all due respect, searching "Custom profiles" returns 2 results. Not to mention that the thread title gives absolutely no indication that the OP is talking about custome profiles. I would highly doubt anyone would suggest going through every single thread to find out if there is information pertinent to their question unless it's clear and easy to search. This is not to say one should be lazy, but please, let's be a little realistic.
We had some talk here http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/1636
I am also sure that we had more specialized topic about it.
That's a good thread. Thanks for the link. Hopefully this title will lead others to the right place.
