Sony just announced the FX30, a Super35 / APS-C video camera aimed at small-scale video and social media production. It's essentially a 26MP APS-C version of the FX3, and promises high-end production values at a more attainable price.
Key specifications
Initial review:
Looks nice with that price point
Not 4 me :)
Nice price point for that SoC.
I haven't seen anyone post the rolling shutter measurement yet. They all just say it's worse than what they were hoping for but better than the Sony A7 IV and better than the previous Sony ASPC bodies.
If you read the Dpreview initial review, you can find the rolling shutter values.
Rolling shutter rates:
4K/120 - 7.9 ms
4K/60 - 15.7 ms
4K/24 - 15.7 ms
Seems to be a good camera. For digital cinema APS-C is great, no need full frame. The problem is Sony APS-C cameras are very soft in video in 1080p. Maybe this can be better because is a pro version.

If I was to buy another camera brand new today then I think I'd definitely go with the Sony FX30! I just can't see anything else competition against it, not unless I spent waaaay more for a FX6. (wish there was a FX60!)
Nice video! The whole setup (camera + 20mm lens) looks very versatile...thnx for sharing. Probably in terms of image, RAW BMPCC 6k is better in terms of price/value, but most of the time I honestly do not need raw.
