Cheap Tablet as hardware 3D player ( A10 based)

Interesting thing
Based on All Winner A10 - new processor released in the China market about two months ago.

As it can play 2160p video and output it at correct format supported by 3D TVs via HDMI.
Right now only latest NVidia and AMD cards do it in hardware, and no brand tablets can do it (Windows AMD based tablets can do only 1080p).
Plus it is cheap.

Btw, if you want something even cheaper (or larger)
just search for "A10 Allwinner" or "A10 boxchip" and select one with HDMI output.
Also good search word is "2160p"

Specs even mention what it could play 3840×2160 in hardware. Don't know about this in practice.

I would advice against the Android 3.2 version. The basic is very buggy and alot of apps could not install because it is not based on ARM chip. Hmmm...

Android version is absolutely not important here for the task.
And it is based on ARM chip (Cortex A8 is ARM architecture).

Does anyone think this could be used as a playback device for gop1 clips, via a micro sd to sd adapter or by some other means? What about as a monitor?

I have no idea how big is top bitrate limit.

You can try Acer W500, it is can run windows players and has DXVA acceleration, plus normal SD card reader build in.
