It is very dangerous signs that appear during final negotiations for hot season Chinese goods sales for big US retailers.
Chinese companies requested from 20 up to 30% higher dollar prices for many items, they also require special insurance against dollar hyperinflation or sanctions. This adds another 10-12% to the expenses.
Pompeo speech did not help here also. Two big chinese groups totally stopped negotiations 2 days after it.
Prices will be lower from last year due to complete collapse of demand. Hyperinflation is not on the horizon for at least a decade.
This year sales prices will be fantastic.
Previously it had been such, but this time stability is absent.

The United States printed more money in June than in the first two centuries after its founding. Last month the U.S. budget deficit — $864 billion — was larger than the total debt incurred from 1776 through the end of 1979.
In talks with Walmart few Chinese firms offered to fix product prices in gold, so in case of gold rise about $1900 Walmart will pay extra.
You think there will a gold standard soon ?
I don't think so. Gold is extremely unhandy thing for complex developing economy.
But it is good thing for parts of present elites who own most of it.
Actually gold and silver are not owned by elites here. Its owned by the working classes. Every single marriage in India involves a gift of gold or silver. A rise in gold and silver prices gives an improvement in purchasing power among the people.

You are serious, right?
As far as I know almost all this gold or silver is not monetary gold but actually something made from gold, like rings and such. This things are not holding prices in the case of issues and are being bought only for the price of low quality gold weight equivalent (as it is almost impossible to test each of them for real metal quality).
