Hey guys! I've never imagined that I would ask this... because I shot 24P my whole life, and now I would like to make some "stock" work with my GH1. So that's why I want to shoot 29.97fps. How can I make the footage look good without the pulldown? Sorry for the super newbie question. Thanks!
I also had some concerns a while back about 24p vs 30p and how to do it. I just decided to shoot in native 1080 by 60i and do standard deinterlace with "interpolate fields". Despite the whole, "it's not true 1080", it looks good and with the max native patch it should look pretty good. Or shoot Mjpeg....MJPEG at it's full HD hack looks close enough to 1080p that most people wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
