Contrary to torrents streaming solutions work worse if something is of high demand.
Also note that Netflix bitrate is usually lowest possible (visually acceptable) bitrate.

You can download Netflix videos to many devices. Netflix can make the downloads take more time by lowering bandwidth while maintaining the same quality (size) of downloads (same codecs and bitrates as before) , no?
