Tomtop is selling the adapter on eBay for a couple dollars less:
For $2 less :-) Much better idea to support PV and shop buying at tomtop directly
Looks like that there is a Mark II version of the EF-M2: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Viltrox-EF-M2II-mark-II-Electronic-Adapter-F-Booster-0-71x-for-Canon-to-M43-/162788392575
In the Viltrox firmware update page, the mark II is referenced too (but the firmwares are the same).
Anyone knows what changes in the Mark II version?
I did a quick search and it seems the Viltrox Mark II was released when Metabones also released a Mark II especially for the BMPCC4K. This is explained in this video.
The Viltrox Mark II also allows non-EF manual lenses like M42, to be used (via an EF adapter of course). The Mark I apparently throws an error if you do this.
There is an easy fix to mark 1 users: As the error occurs due to shortening of the contacts with the added M42 Adapter , you just have to put a piece of tape on the added adapter (NOT the viltrox, but the M42!) You can leave this in place and do not need to remove it.
@MIrrorMan, yeah, the 1st version (that I have) cannot be used with legacy lenses - the tape hack works, but is very incovenient.
Will get this new version.
