Soo... instead of buying a pair of hearing aids that helps you not only when sitting at a certain position in front of a TV, they suggest to buy an expensive systems emitting directional sound?
Sounds to me like a very bad choice. If I was hearing-impaired, I would certainly rather invest in the devices that also help me understanding what other people say, not just the TV.
Many people find constantly wearing hearing aids uncomfortable. I see nothing wrong with idea.
Surely the real potential is using them on flat screen TV's iPads and phones etc using the touch screen as a speaker....assuming no conflicts with proper function of the touch screen exists.
Also imagine windows as speakers, quite cool for your car, home, stores whatever...
