anyone knows if there will be a 16-35 2.8 lense? I read some rumors and I am looking for a wide lense and would waitvot out instead of buying the 4.0 version now...
These lenses are focus by wire I read somewhere. Endless spinning focus rings… They're calling that "Master" level now?
Good lenses. But. Sony, why they are so expensive?
I am wondering if there would be any loss of quality/sharpness etc. if using these G Master lenses on a smaller sensor such as A6300? And if so how significant or not?
Usually not for good lenses. As you remove corners overall feel can be even better.
Centre sharpness remains impressively high through from f/2-f/11, with f/16 being slightly affected by diffraction. The edges aren't quite as sharp as the centre, with f/2.8-f/16 producing the sharpest results

The performance of the 24-70mm f/2.8 GM is exceptional. It’s the finest standard zoom lens I’ve had the pleasure to use.
