Looks really nice. I'm surprised by the lack of movement in the demo video, usually the smaller gimbals suffer from human bounce more than this, either they were careful, or it is damn good, or both.
Wow, that is GoPro's worst nightmare !
GoPro is selling tiny amount of cameras that end on gimbals :-)
"Shares of GoPro Inc. tumbled as much as 8% on Wednesday after Morgan Stanley cut its price target on the stock nearly in half, but many analysts are still holding out hope that virtual reality and drones lead the company to a comeback." http://www.marketwatch.com/story/gopro-plummets-after-thunderous-price-cut-but-analysts-still-see-opportunity-2015-10-07?cb=logged0.8510400461721336
GoPro issues are related more with cameras like

I believe @joe1946 's point is....why would someone spend 5 bills for a gp black when they can have this for 150 more ? GP's biggest weakness has been no stabilization. This demounts from the handle and can be re-mounted with what looks like far superior mounting technology. I also agree that the chinese gopro copies, esp now they're sold at b&h, are crippling to gp's business model. In fact I have a friend picking me up a sj4000 in 2 weeks for $69 with screen ! This will be hard to not purchase at 650 dollars !

Because most do not use it with gimbal, I think. Most mount it on helmet, on bike, etc.
@Vitaliy....that's because gp doesn't have an integrated gimbal. This can be mounted where ever a gp can be mounted , with what looks to be superior mounts, with a gimbal included. The obvious place you won't use it, however, is underwater, where a gimbal isn't really necessary. I agree with joe....gp is going down.
looks like nofilmschool is hyped .... http://nofilmschool.com/2015/10/dji-osmo-4k-camera-integrated-3-axis-gimbal-stabilizer
as well as dan chung .... http://www.newsshooter.com/2015/10/08/dji-introduce-osmo-integrated-4k-camera-and-brushless-gimbal-for-649-us/
Well, you can not mount gimbal on helmet :-) Well, nofilmschool must be hyped, it is blog where people write for google.
Well, you can not mount gimbal on helmet :-)
...why not ?
...why not ?
Weight is significant (for gimbal like one in this topic), this is first. Hard to attach properly. And very dangerous in practice, good fall and instead of protection you'll have hole in your head.
hum....I googled "helmet cam with heavy camera" and looked at the images. Not that I wear helmets but....this looks pretty manageable in comparison, mounted on the top of a motorcycle helmet , for instance, or a skydiving helmet. I think that might be a preferable place, over, let's say, a direct non-shocked mount to a bicycle, where I'd be a little concerned about the devices delicate electronics. I do remember that osmo's mounting options included something with a small shock mount
.... but....well, I'm no longer into my helmet-phase anyway !
I would like to know more about the camera specs, bit rates etc . Doesn't look very high....tops out at 60Mbps

Try to wear helmet for prolonger time with gimbal on it :-)
And it is your head you need to care about, not some cheap electronics. Most idiots wearing metal shit on their helmets have trouble understanding it.
I would like to know more about the camera specs
Specs can be found in corresponding gimbals product pages.
The first spot look like Terrence Malick. :-p
Yah, this with their new m43 mount, raw 4K camera looks like a killer combo. I try not to be too obsessed with the latest gadgets but I could definitely see shooting whole films with this setup. Especially if you could throw the 20mm pancake lens on.
will the x5r fit the osmo?
Yah, they said the x5r will fit.
whoa...made bbc
Horrible horizon, not sure what happened there. He also states multiple times that the handle can be purchased separately and no one has been able to successfully confirm this as of yet.
Osmo Handle Kit (Includes Battery, Charger and Phone Holder) available for $269
Can't wait to see the X5 on this with the 12mm F2.0 ...
