Nice looking lens, 24mm wide would make it better IMHO

Video showing lens on FS7 with zoom rocker switch :
This 28-135 Cine lens has become my all time favorite. It was marketed to use on the professional F7 CamCorder instead of the A7s.
Two reasons we see negative reviews and not as many on the streets.
The number one complaint: not wide enough for a s35 Sensor. (44-202 equivalent) It is plenty wide on a FullFrame Sensor
An f-stop of 4 is too slow for the F7. I usually use f/8 and ISO 6400 in poor low light.
Funny thing, we just shot part one of a multi-month shoot for a feature with a RED DRAGON and a Canon 30mm-105mm t2.8 cinelens. We don't really mind having the 30mm on the wide end, and we have the option to change to wider primes as needed (Have an 18mm Cooke s4/i).
So other than the t4 and the servo zoom that's slow to zoom, I'd say that this Sony 28-105mm is a great buy!
My use and testing shows that the PZ 28-135 is indeed parfocal, and I also can see virtually no breathing, except maybe at the longest focal length where it is just visible.
This is remarkable performance for such a modestly priced cine lens, and I am unaware of any lens that can cover full-frame 35mm which has these characteristics.

That guy spends a lot of time talking about how there's no wired zoom sold separately from a tripod. Like, a lot of time talking about it. He should have maybe spent just a little more time looking and a little less time ranting.
Centre sharpness is consistently high throughout the focal range, and though there’s moderate corner softness at all focal lengths, stop down to f/11 and sharpness is high right across the frame. Distortion is present at the extreme ends of the focal range, but it’s automatically and effectively compensated.
Chromatic aberration (purple fringing) is rarely an issue with the Sony FE PZ 28-135mm F4 G OSS.

I shot this entirely on an a7s II with this lens -- it's a champ.
The key features of this lens are its ability to make smooth zooms of different speeds without losing focus and to focus pull manually. Here are tests in my "lab", showing its zoom capabilities on the A7s ii - slow zooms, fast zooms, medium zooms, very slow zooms using the servo, using the remote, and manually using the ring, one manual focus pull, and one AF focus shift:
And here is a test (OSS and zoom and AF) video shot out in the field handheld:
