Mastering the Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1937538737/
I managed to borrow a OMD EM5 II last weekend and tried out the video, all shots handheld, not post at all other than importing the footage shot at 1920*1080 50fps and interpreted back to 25fps in premier. I couldn't get the clean HDMI feed to work, if anyone has had luck then please let me know,
I just can't watch that Korean guys videos with Korean love songs and poorly graded pointless footage.
Has anyone using this camera combined it with nd filters? Does it have a noticeable ir shift?
It's not just a great stills camera. The Olympus E-M5 II has some surprisingly good video chops, as well, packing in everything from impressively capable image stabilization, autofocus and autoexposure controls during shooting to external microphone and headphone connectivity. (Albeit, with the latter requiring you purchase and mount an external grip.)
Olympus E-M5 II impressed us most was when we had to crank up the sensitivity to shoot in low light, though. Its high ISO performance belies its Micro Four Thirds sensor size, and actually manages to rival some APS-C sensor-based cameras! All things considered, this is one heck of a package, and at a very competitive price as well. It is, perhaps, one of the best arguments yet we've seen for the rise of the mirrorless camera!

As I had the OMD EM 5 II on loan, I bought out the old BOLEX PAILLARD for a test shoot, and here are the results. All shot in Neutral Profile, no sharpening, adjustments or grading, every shot straight from the camera. I used the M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO Lens going through the focal range, shot in progressive 50pfs and reinterpreted later in premier. I noticed some colour shift in some of the shots, my fault I had the WB set to Auto, and the chrome on the camera was reflecting images coming of the screen outside the shot.

Personally, I say go shoot whatever you want and try to put effort into getting the best image possible, John Brawley does it with the OMD EM5 Mark II. And from what I saw online it's pretty darn good. Honestly it's less to do with the gear and more to do with whoever is shooting and the conditions. Go shoot.
@joethepro July 12 yes but GH3/4 are a very high order of file definition, some say an advance on FF too It does mean that Olympus itself has room to improve, and this first iteration suggests they are bent on doing just that. Just what will this years release give us ?
Sooooo, anyone actually using this puppy? Like with every camera, I've seen both nice and bad stuff shot on it. Initially I dismissed it but it's slowly grown on me (especially because of IBIS) to the point that I'm considering buying it. Am I crazy? Damn.
@brudney Still learning mine but had to shoot alot with it the past few days. The ibis is amazing and really allows alot more freedom while shooting. The only thing bothering me so far is that I can't use traditional metering modes in movie mode. If i try recording video in M mode for some reason it adjusts my exposure automatically with electronic shutter and that's really annoying. Not sure what I'm doing wrong or if there's anything to be done differently. For now it seems like my only option for shooting video manually is using movie mode and only the histogram to check exposure. Also the digital zoom focus assist is disabled in movie mode for some reason.
I just got mine this week, and it seems as though the LCD died before I got to play with it too much. Hopefully the replacement is quick and I don't have the same problem with the new camera.
It seems as though I'm not alone here: http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3813148
