I took advantage of the Amazon deal and now I'm happy owner of the LX100. However, I'm having problems with the focus hunting and I'm still trying to figure out the best way to autofocus on fast moving subjects. Any tips in this regard are highly appreciated.
When it comes to auto focusing, one advise I'd give you is that when theirs more than enough lighting such as outdoors during the day, try shooting at around f/6.3.
Hi all - I own this camera and would like to know is there a drone on the market I can buy that will carry this cam? :)
PauloTeixeira Thank you so much for the tip, but would the smaller aperture reduce the focus hunting?
this camera really catches my interest as additional cam to my setup for recording live concerts with multiple cameras...but I'd need to mount it on the stage, hit record and don't worry about recording time limitations but there are, right? 29mins even on the US model? is there any HACK? that would be the best hack in quite a while this camera deserves one
I think because you get more of the frame in focus than you would with say f/2.0, it might give you less apparent focus hunting.
So I have spent a few weeks checking this camera out, and although there is a lot to like, there are some things that disappoint: although I should have realized that a $700 camera has its limits.
By far for me was the shocking barrel distortion of the lens on the wide side. My preference is usually not on the wide-side, but the lens on this camera makes wide-angle truly painful. Sure, some of this can be corrected in post, but...
A shame that the lens is not interchangable on this camera, in retrospect I probably should have brought a GM5. Unless you absolutely need the 4K video, that would be my recommendation.
My last LX100 video to be posted. I should have uploaded this long ago but better late than never. Shot in 30p Shutter might have been 30. Aperture might have been around f/2.0. No idea what my ISO was set to.

PauloTeixeira Thank you for posting this video. What was your focus setting?
I think I had it at auto focusing for this video and it might have been set to focus in the center. It was a rental so I'm unable to check the camera to get a refresher on what I did exactly.
Hi! Just received my lx100! going to use it as a b-cam along with my gh4 for a wedding.. Any suggestions for settings so i can have a color matched result? Thanks!
@soulkeeper I've been running that duo in the natural color profile w/ -1 Saturation, -2 Contrast, -5 NR, -5 Sharpness settings. The footage is extremely close when intercut and only requires small tweaks to contrast in post (if any). IMO, the two cams compliment each other nicely and deliver very professional results.
ok good to know!!
After returning from my Maldives trip, I've prepared some sample LX100 4k underwater video, for those interested, see separate topic: http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/12828/4k-underwater-videography-
