BitTorrent client uTorrent has come under fire from users after it emerged the software’s latest update comes bundled with Bitcoin mining software (malware, in other words).

The issue was also brought up at the uTorrent forums, but the initial thread was deleted by a moderator.

Just updated uTorrent and it didn’t tell me anything about that total f*cked up ‘Epic Scale’ trash.

Fun thing is that no one even ask common practice now where freeware comes with bunch of malware and spyware (even if you can uncheck it sometimes).

I have read comments that legacy version utorrent 2.2.1 is the last best utorrent, as it has no ads or extra software.

@Vitaliy_Kiselev it's the same company so I'd rather save myself trouble if they decide to introduce something similar in next version installer

Something tells me that it is completely different tools for different niches. BtSync is very useful for that it does.
