Hi, I'm looking for a v-lock battery solution, to power GH2 / TVlogic 5.6 external monitor etc.
Does anyone have any recommendations please? I've found these two:
I'm assuming the monitor would be powered from the Dtap, and camera from the DC out 12v?
Cheers Jon
I have the lanparte model, I would recommend trying the Tilta.
It's the only piece of Lanparte gear I have and don't recommend. It lacks a power switch. If you leave battery attached it drains it, even with nothing plugged in. The ability to angle is limited due to poor design of the block that attaches it to the rails.
remember that the GH2 needs about 9volts (I feed mine 9.8) .. so you will need something to drop the 12 down, unless you know somebody who can change a component internally. 12V by itself will probably kill your GH2
Hey @kavadni, Cool thanks for you advice, yeah the Tilta looks nice. Do you mean something like this to alter the power?: http://www.switronix.com/news/204-switronix-releases-xp-cable-for-panasonic-lumix-gh2
There seems to be a 'Blackmagic' version and a 'normal' BT-003 version of the Tilta, and I can't tell the difference?
Look at this one too http://stores.ebay.fr/A-MiniMart/_i.html?_nkw=v-mount&submit=Rechercher&_cqr=true&_rusck=1&_nkwusc=vmount&_sid=1011059701 For voltage régulator look in the RC-model shop they have cheap and good 7.2V UBEC (régulator) and other voltages 12v/5v/6v/9v too
I don't recommend the Lanparte VB-150 V-Mount battery I purchased 18 months ago. It self discharges much faster than my Global Media Pro batteries, seems to have rather low current output and is recognised by my dual V-Mount charger as a NiMh battery type rather than a Lithium Ion and therefore can only be charged on the Lanparte battery pinch with the supplied laptop charger. Going on eBay and good riddens!
