My girlfriend has just come back from the Improving Reality conference in Brighton UK. VoDo net seems to be a really interesting model of distributing and potentially financing independent film that makes sophisticated use of social networking, crowd funding and p2p sharing and opinion forming. It bypasses the corporates and seems a good future model (based on the increasing capability for mass mobile storage and the pointlessness of trying to make money from IP). What we like about it is, that it is based on a presumption that people will voluntarily support things that they like - with money, time and ideas (like we do here on Personal View) What do you all think?
