@tomaso i had found that u have to copy the .bin and put it in the root menu.. It worked for me now.. it only takes a few minutes to update!!

Updated without a hitch - but more importantly realized my 12-35 was still on v1.1 - DOH!!! What a fucking idiot :)

"Better Video reliability" Kinda vague, what exactly does this mean?

Other than 4k and 96fps I've had no issues whatsoever. What about adding 1080 or even 720 P120?

I am thinking that I will have to up the shutter speed to get "Better Video Reliability" when shooting moving objects. 1/125s is barely keeping up in good light with a Grand Prix Horse Event using 1080 P60.

Yes, I've had my GH4 lockup a few times during record already so really happy to see Panasonic's quick to put out a fix.

Could it be so that the FW update lowers the max bitrate or other codec properties for 4k. Better reliability but maybe worse IQ.

I downloaded the GH4 1.1 firmware but for some reason, my Mac (10.9 Macbook Pro 2011) won't let me write to the GH4 formatted SD Card. I tried 3 different cards but I get the same "read only" info. Please help. Izhar

The Lumix GH4 is a game changer. It is still the only 4K video capable mirrorless interchangeable lens camera. It is very ergonomic, compact, and cheap. Also, there is a healthy lineup of native lenses, plus a host of legacy lenses that you can use with an adapter.

The biggest annoyance of all Panasonic m43 cameras to me is the inability to use AE Lock button while recording video. You can set it prior to pushing rec button, but once you unlock it during recording you cannot reactivate it. Have they fixed that in GH4?

@zigizig If you are recording, you cannot activate or reactivate AEL/AFL by pressing the AE/AF Lock button. You can however manually adjust exposure or focus during recording and AEL/AFL will reactivate. So in a sense, you can "unlock" and "relock" exposure and focus, you just can't do it with the AE/AF Lock button. There are some quirks that I have noted in the issues thread.
