Cube U30GT2, 1920 x 1200px screen, 2GB / 32GB $263
Some screen measurements:
Looks quite usable.
So are these better then the http://www.onda-tablet.com/onda-v972-quad-core-9-7-inch-retina-screen-daul-camera-android-tablet-pc.html ? Also which one is the best out of these? (:
In depends, you can check topic on A31 tablets, this one is about Rockchip based one.
A31 is good chip also and has very good hardware video decoding.
About shop you referenced - it has not good reputation and not related to Onda brand as I know.
That gamut measurement looks absolutely horrendous for an IPS screen.
What measurement "looks absolutely horrendous"? Cube U30GT2? Are you ok?

What is the chance of upgrades to the Android 4.1 shipped in these tablets? Has anybody experience with this?
Strange question. Even in links you can see that many ship with Android 4.2 and almost all else with 4.1
Where you got one with 4.0?
I got the Cube U35GT 1gb RAM from ebay. 12 days shipping.
I'm happy with it. Slightly heavier than ipad mini and Samsung Note 8. No bluetooth. Shipped with English as default language. Wifi is not as sensitive as ipad mini. According to one review, you have to be closer to the wifi router than other tablets. But for 1/3rd the price of ipad mini and Samsung Note, it's a good deal.
It plays hacked GH2 clips just fine. Slipstream 24l. Haven't tried higher bitrate clips yet. Like macs, you have to add .mpg suffix to .MTS. Installed Aldiko ebook reader to read epub and PDF.
@jleo, How is the audio quality ? Any built in speakers even the ones that sound like tiny buzzers !? LOL
Sorry, I really tried to get that info from Google to no avail.
@010101 there are two tiny speakers on the bottom. They are side by side so you can't get a stereo effect even if you put your head next to it. Yes, they sound like tin cans. No built in sub-woofer! But it's OK. You can boost it a little in the settings and more db with the equalizer. Headphones sound OK.
I suggest to make small research, as some tablets have better speakers, some have not so good.
If you are aimed to video play only and want good screen and normal battery life check also A31 based tablets.
I have the pipo M6 for a week now, bought it from ebay it has some flaws, like left speaker much weaker than right one( ebay seller told me all pipo tablets have this issue)
but overall I am quite happy, wifi is good, full hd movies look gorgeous, browsing and reading is pleasure on this tablet.. battery lasts from 6-10 hours, depending on your settings (brightness, wifi, usage)
@hedrox someone posted a fix for speaker imbalance here..
http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.php?6231-Pipo-M6-Speaker-Imbalance-fix
the macbook air/pro has a similar audio problem where one side is louder. I thought I burned out the channel, but it's a software glitch which can be fixed by running a reset app.
thanks @jleo , I rather leave it as it is, I don´t want to harm my pipo :)
