29 minutes maximum FullHD clip length, even with USA models, so I have no interest.
ZS30 (TZ40) Videos:
Another ZS30 (TZ40) video, this one showing off the bokeh of the lens (this compact camera, unlike most (Sony's) has a real diaphragm):
There is a firmware update for the ZS30 (TZ40) and TS5 (FT5). Mostly improves GPS acquisition. But is the camera now hackable?

Like the LF1, it doesn't have a 30p mode at FullHD. And the battery is low-capacity compared with LF1.
Sorry, NO. Besides 108060p, it has: "1920 x 1080 pixels, 30fps (FHD: 20Mbps / MP4) /" (that is straight from the spec sheet).
That is 30p at FullHD.
Here is a video I shot, using wifi remote control, using the 30p FullHD mode:
Select 1080p.
@markr041 Nice video! Particularly impressed with the black background. Did you take this with a manual exposure mode?
Thanks. I ride the ev compensation a lot to get exactly the exposure I want. Interestingly, I was using the camera remotely over Direct WiFi, so the "viewfinder" was my Samsung Galaxy tablet. I could control ev from the tablet, and what I saw on the tablet was evidently spot on in giving me the exposure I wanted.
Cool, thanks for making this videos.
Can we have an official TZ-41 / TZ-40 / ZS25 / ZS30 topic ? Maybe I start it myself ?
It is Z30 and TZ40 topic.
So I'm looking for remote feature which is only available on android or i-thing (smartphone and tablet). But not owner of this kind of thing, I look for another way. My challenge is to setting up a virtual machine on linux host (why not) and try to install Android VM itself installed with the famous panasonic app.
The system I try to install is an android version picked up here http://www.android-x86.org/ V4.2 Once installed, when I start Android the host reboots. (allocating memory up to 2014MB does nothing). Beginner in VM and a subject far to initial purpose, I know. Any idea ?
