Funny, just bought that very lav today my second one, paid $19.95 at Jaycar. Have used this model on many gigs with the Zoom H1. It is rebadged as Yoga brand. For $2 bucks I'll grab a few more. Entire video below was this lav and H1.

Interesting, i've never seen a lav with a cable like that. Does it minimize cable noise a bit perhaps? Hey Rambo, is the clip and the windscreen removable?

Both clip and foam are removable.

Atually, this is a great idea. Let me know how it goes, I may make some for myself rather than spend a fortune on a Lav. The Specs for the EM172 are very good.
