Who's their main competitor now that Contour's gone TU? Only one that comes to mind would be Google Glass.
@ Vitaliy That kitty is real lucky. If it had been a policeman....he would have tasered it !
This just showed up at Rambo's GoPro forum, "My First Bike":
How do you get rid of the Border in the GoPro APP while recording? It puts a little border around the video preview while recording. I would like to be able to output the video from my phone or iPad to a TV without connecting any wires to the GoPro. Basically I want to do remote viewing from the GoPro across the room.
The basic use case is that we have a climbing competition where spectators won't have room to stand where they can see the climbers. We would like to put a GoPro there instead and let the spectators watch from another room. The biggest problem is that the border on the app takes up most of the video frame.
Any suggestions?
The GoPro Camsuite APP resolved the issue. It is a thirds party app that replaces the GoPro app. It works perfectly and will display full screen without any icons even over wifi. I might still use the HDMI but at least now I have multiple options.

Here is the Back-Bone Ribcage on the Hero3+. If you only get their DIY kit, you have to take apart your Hero3+ to install it.
Their instructions are good, but still nerve-wrecking to be handling such delicate parts / voiding your warranty!
I luckily managed to do it successfully, and here's the first photos with my Rainbow 8-48mm f1.0
Tests to follow once I have infinity focus. Battery is charging at the moment...
Looks scary :-)
Farout... why such a small lens?? :-)
Wow - it looks great. Sharp, unsaturated, ideal for post. Amazing what the Hero3 can achieve...
Yes, Protune was on. Best to use HDMI out to second screen to adjust backfocus.
That GoPro LCD is not that useful for this.
From @Zakk topic
I've noticed this kind of quick, slight color changes on my GoPro 3 footage before, but in this clip, which i shot in 720p 120 fps protune and ran through twixtor and davinci resolve, it appears to be a massive problem:
If you especially look at the ground you will notice quick changes in the hue ( from green over purple and so on ).
Did anyone else using the Hero 3 ( black edition ) notice this very annoying glitch before or could it be that my camera has a hardware problem ?
