Is peaking confirmed? I dont go by Reids speculations...hes already starting the hyperbole.

ALLIASING yes ... but I'm not surprised, there were already on the GH2, in general, I was filming the bright or dynamic mode, with the aim voigtlander 25mm 0.95 there (the alliasing) eg.

I am buying Dieter lunch if he bolted out of that bar with the camera. I will buy him dinner if he filmed it with the GH2. And I will buy him every meal if he filmed it with the GH3 as he was running away from security! :)

The new "Venus Engine VII FHD" used by the GH3 is also used on the LX7 and FZ200. My LX7 has bad Moire. Attached is 1080p screenshot of an ISO test chart taken with my LX7.

I am not surprised if the GH3 also has Moire. The GH2 used a different chip, as far as I can tell, it was called "Venus Engine VI FHD"

LOL.

Aliasing is complicated thing, and usually it does not give a fuck about "engine" (especially that Venus Smth it is pure marketing term).

It mostly depend from sensor and downsampling algorithms.

Yes I took pictures with the GH3 and video. AVCHD 1080 50p 50 bps and MOV 1080 24 72 bps AllI and 1080 24p 72 bps AllI

The best part: I took them on MY SD card and brought them home. Send to Vitaliy for to analyse them already.

I just had a look at some of the footage, very dark footage: Looks incredibly clean and sharp :) Don't care for the codec at the moment :)
