I'm guessing that most 2x c-mount extenders are only designed to cover 2/3" or 1". I tried the Fujinon HE20-1, and it did not come close to covering 4/3".
I found this and it seems that it is not that easy as it might have looked at the first sight http://eclair16.com/lenses/super-16-compatible-lenses/
The Rainbow 2X Extender on the 2/3" S6x11 Lens DOES COVER the entire sensor! Proof to follow. Now trying to figure out how to focus to infinity!
Is this the official C-Mount thread? I saw the BMCPC thread getting a tad cluttered so I thought I post my question here.
8-40/1,8 Schneider Variogon. Has anyone heard anything of this lens? I've found it in my local camera-shop. It's a C mount but I don't have an adapter so I can't test it. Will it cover a BMCPC's sensor? Anything you know of this lens would be really helpful. It costs cirka 130 dollar
For reference, here are the most useful C-mount to m43 adapters I've found:
henry-digital super thin: 0.98 mm flange thickness, 37.35 mm ID
Fotga E60053 new style: 2.84 mm flange thickness, 37.60 mm ID. Seller photos not accurate. See my photo.
henry-digital 2-in-1 m42: 5.24 mm flange thickness, 37.50 mm ID
Big_is: 2.20 mm flange thickness, 37.70 mm ID. Seller photos not accurate. See my photo.
Here's the proof. Rainbow 2/3" 11.5-69mm f1.4 Lens with 2x extender, zoomed in. Still need to figure out infinity focus, but it covers the sensor with just slight vignetting. Not the greatest lens for photos, but it's a start for video!
@balazer, could you please measure the inner diameter of "henry-digital super thin" adapter? I found the measurements for the hawks adapter http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/320984665149 (37.2mm / 39.2mm), but it might be too small for my lens.
Basically, I've got a Computar 12.5/1.3 lens, but it has a different design than the one reviewed on the Internet:
http://cjeastwd.blogspot.co.uk/2009/06/adapting-lens-to-fit-mount.html
Mine has an aperture ring in front of the focus ring, and the rear part is larger: 40mm in diameter as opposed to 38mm. I've done the stop-screw removal mod, but the lens is just too far from the sensor when mounted using my current adapter, which is 37mm: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/C-16mm-Lens-To-Micro-M-4-3-43-M4-3-M43-Mount-Adapter-/320543741746
I finally figured out how to get infinity focus! I used the 1/2" Rainbow H6x8-II, and now it becomes a 1" Zoom Lens! (new zoom range is 16-96mm f2)
@karas, I've updated my previous post at http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/1925/c-mount-lenses-for-m43/p4#Item_83 with inner diameter measurements taken at the C-mount flange. The Big_is adapter is the widest, though thicker than the Henry Digital Super Thin.
Hello. Does anybody use Pentax 8-48 not rainbow? I think it's cosmicar. Does anybody know how to prepare it for gh2?
Got hold of Fuji C6X17.5B 1.8. No cam around. Am I a happy nerd or will image circle cross my plans? (Gh2)

Fujinon "C" lenses are for 1-inch format single sensor cameras (16 mm image circle diameter). It will only cover the GH2 sensor in ETC mode or with 2x zoom or a 0.75x crop.
I tested that very lens on a BMPCC. It covers, but even on it's far smaller sensor the corners are soft WO.
@balazar, I think one could maybe use the Fujinon HE20-1 X2 converter to straighten this out..... I use it to convert 16mm lenses to super 16 1" (Nikon 1), did not test it for M4/3 though and do not know whether it covers 4/3".
It'll bring out any weakness in the center and loose quite some light, though.
