M2 in good custom casing is that they should use for small and medium guys. For larger cameras it must be approach like Atomos use.

And SD is the sad horrible format.

It is good reason why things go to standardized PCI-E abolishing all this custom things. As design and such become more and more social, more and more complex, you can not have 4 similar things doing same thing.

So it is bad fate ahead of SD, HDMI and such.

Never going to happen. Never has, never will. Socialism is an unlikely future but I hope you are correct in your prediction.

Not only happened, but worked normally :-) Inability to establish standards in the common interest rise exactly due to private property on means of production and resulting behavior.

And socialism is not more unlikely than tomorrow morning.

Standards are another issue. If we had them, the standard would probably be Canon EF, which would be much better than nothing. Back when we had standards, the government usually picked the market leader's system. Back in the 50's, there was a major standards war between RCA/NBC and CBS over color TV. The FCC picked CBS's system, which was superior for color, but incompatible with existing black and white sets. RCA/NBC went to court, won their case, and we ended up with NTSC.

And it absolutely does not matter that capitalist will win.

Almost all present standards are made by conglomerate of capitalists and usually specially worsened to make applicable as many patents of parties involved as possible.

Currently C200 is RAW or 8 bit... not really lots of choices...

That's pretty noisy for a RAW camera. Helium does really well and C300MK2 at 2k is really good too. Kind of disappointed.

Firmware Version 1.0.2.1.00 :

When CN-E70-200mm T4.4 L IS KAS S is attached the following features are enabled:

• Autofocus using the Dual Pixel CMOS AF function
• Dual Pixel Focus Guide function.
• The joystick on the camera’s grip unit can be set to operate the zoom.
• Manual control of the iris with Camera’s Control dial.
• Control of focus, zoom and iris using the separately-sold Remote Controller RC-V100.
• Automatic aperture and push auto iris functions.
• Start/stop recording on the separately-sold lens grip ZSG-C10.
• Retrieval of Lens metadata, such as the model name and the focal distance will display on the camera.
• Peripheral illumination / chromatic aberration correction.

Caution:

• You cannot perform the firmware update using CFast 2.0 cards. Please use a commercially available SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card that is 128MB or more for the firmware update.
• Firmware version 1.0.2.1.00 is for updating Cinema EOS C200 cameras running firmware version 1.0.0.1.00 – 1.0.1.1.00. If your camera’s firmware is already version 1.0.2.1.00, it is not necessary to update the firmware.
• Once the camera is updated to the latest version, it cannot be restored to a previous version.
• For further information, please refer to the latest version of the unit’s Instruction Manual that is released with the firmware update.

The following things are required to perform this firmware update:

1. An EOS C200 or EOS C200B camera body
2. A computer
3. A 128 MB or higher-capacity SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card (both commercially available)
4. An SD card reader/writer (commercially available) or an SD card slot built into the computer
5. A fully charged battery pack for the camera
6. Compact power adapter bundled with the camera
7. The firmware (the downloaded file)
