Interesting comparison to the D810. Excellent performance from a DX camera.

I have an A7s, GH4, and D500. I've had a D5300, D7100, D750, and D800.
At this point, I like the D500 best for everything except travel and hikes. I still use my GH4 for those.
I have not used the D500 outside yet, but use it for poor/low light Video where even at ISO 9,000 it beats everything else for my use
According to this review looks like the D500 is excellent for stills just about the same as the D750. I am tempted to purchase this because this would be a great addition to my D750/D600. My GAS syndrome is starting to kick in now ;-( but I will be patient this time and wait to see what Sony brings to the table with the Sony A9.
I am kinda disappointed on the video side in terms of the lowlight performance based on the review. On the video side it doesn't seem like an improvement over the GH4 and probably more trouble then it is worth to shoot video with. The EVF is a huge bonus for shooting video. I have an LCD viewfinder for the D750 but it is so cumbersome to use in comparison to the GH4. Mirrorless cameras are hard to beat for the convenience of a having everything in a small package with out carrying around a whole bunch of stuff.
Excellent crop sensor camera for stills.... I just wish it was a little better on the video side if it was I would probably buy it.
I have good news on the Video side. The D500 is very good at ISO 9,000. Much better for my use than the D750 or GH4 is poor/low light. I currently have a GH4, A7s, D5300, and D500. I have had a D750, D800e, and A7sII.
I still like the GH4 in good light and use it for Travel and Hiking. You can record for over 3 hours with nothing but one SD card and single internal battery. My entire 3 lens outfit goes in my smallest bag. My lightweight carbon fiber TriPod holds it very steady.
The A7s and D500 need an external recorder and battery for extended Video. The D500 can get by with a Ninja II because the 1080P30 is as good as the A7s 4k DownRes with a 7Q+ 4k recorder although the A7s starts pulling away at 12,800 and above.
The LCD on the D500 is twice the resolution of the D750 and has a magnifier you can use to help with focus.
