This video stills shot from DPReview let me down heavily. Same IQ of the E-M10, which I have and sucks for video. :(
Maybe some hope with the HDMI output + Ninja Star?
John Brawley's E-M5 II short is much better than the taxi ride one
Agree about Curiosity. I downloaded it and was pretty impressed.
Amazing IBIS. Just wow.
Much disparate quality in shots. John Brawley's Curiosity is very good, some takes from Mathieu in MirrorLessons are good too. But the The Camera Store segment filmed with the E-M5 II is horrible, and the movie still from the DPReview show a image almost like the E-M10.
if you run the following video 'Behind the Scenes' on Brawleys blog it demonstrates the difference 'graded' processing makes. I think essentially thats the difference you are seeing.
I tuned my camera quite a lot in the custom profile and Curiosity certainly was graded. I deliberately DIDN't grade the BTS aside from the shots that don't have crew. You also see some IS sensor wobbles on some wider frames which I deliberately left in. Also, the BTS stuff was shot by a non video savvy guy from Olympus. His exposures were all over the place and he was often switching profiles.

@johnbrawley Your video is the best so far. Very organic look with good dynamic range whereas "Daily Life" looks severely oversharpened and a bit blown out. So I guess dialing all things down helps here.
@MarcioK : Forget about it. HDMI output won't stop the sensor from subsampling. The codec isn't the problem either. The issue lies ar the very source. :(
@duartix The John's video and some more samples that I've saw gave me a better impression - looks like that the The Camera Store guys screwed somewhat their footage.
Will wait for more videos; but for sure this camera is no match for GH4, A7s or NX1 quality, is more in GH3 / GX7 league, I guess.
Very fine and all, but I'm waiting for Sony's move. My guess is that the A7000 will have IBIS and 4K...
Your videos look really great!! I am sorely tempted by this camera. Would you say the video quaoity is comparable to the panasonic g6 or gx7? I'm thinking about selling my gear and grabbing one of these for street photography and videos while I live in china this year. The ibis looks fantastic for keeping my kit small and me not looking like a total dork.
The stabilisation is very impressive in all the tests shown so far. Really smooth and almost would reduce the need for a gymbal in some situations. I like the colours too. 422 output could be useful for improving the 77mbit codec. Generally this looks very nice.
I'd love to see a comparison between EM5II and GH2 the IS could reduce track and dolly setup times by doing some freehand
I'm really thinking about picking up this guy.

Hi. I couldn't say, I've not used one of those cameras before...
