Guys, you are repeating many videos that have already been made previously.
What do you think about using Nebula 4000 paired with Steadycam Arm-and-Vest (from Merlin or Pilot). It can compensate vertical movements while walking. Anyone tried it? I already have Steadycam Vest and don't use it.
Plesae help. I can't find external battery, perhaps, it not selling separately on filmpower.us site.
Same video in youtube and vimeo.
@Manu4Vendetta The difference is eye opening. Thank you for posting
Nice. ;-)
I can still see jitter in some of the shots there
@Manu4Vendetta thank you for sharing. Great example, no wobbling.
@act You could buy the battery on amazon anyway in the states, presume you still can.
@feha, you're welcome
Well.... I guess the Nebula 4000 lite now has some super tough competition in the marketplace for good but super cheap gimbal, now that the CAME-MINI is out for the same price:
Thoughts about why it might still be better to get the Nebula 4000 lite instead? I don't see any reason myself however?
Russian video is exciting, even without the subtitles, thank you:-)
last video is the worse example of video about gimbal I've seen. Absolute piece of crap
95 % of test vids you mean...
why do people keep posting these gimbal tests with up and down bounce and shivering vibrations? Planning the walks a little bit isn't a bad idea. I have to keep reminding myself to slow down on the pans, otherwise it's like being on a boat in rough seas.
Then maybe work with the thing, is it balanced, are the pid settings at least in the neighborhood of optimal. Follow someone at a trot or run, over broken ground, then the problems become more obvious.
I like the form factor of the nebula, but I'm not convinced it can create high quality gimbal footage. Most of what I've seen looks like relatively good stabilized hand held footage. Don't most of us want those dreamy floating steadicam shots? I know it's cheap and all, but it's not that cheap.
I still think the birdycam is one of the best performance/price gimbals. It's bigger but folds small, and it's light, which is absolutely critical for a lot of folks.
I wonder if the single balance point of the nebula style gimbal: that this is about the best it can do. Hard to tell without it in hand.
