No 24p at UHD 4k?
I've read something about a bitrate of 80Mbps (that sounds good, It's H265 so..)
80mbps is mentioned in the presentation of the NX1, you can look here (at 30:20)
h.265 is not widely supported yet. I don't think there is one NLE that can work with it. Probably within months there will be.
Something's awfully wrong with either (or both) camera set up or photo processing, see those horrendous 100% crops from ephotozine, uff that's not doing any favours to samy-sung. OTOH the NX 50-150mm F2.8 OISed 20 elements looks really nice
Damn... I don't know how the JPEG engine was tuned (or at what level the NR setting was) but all images are intolerably waterpainted, most notably the horseriding one at ISO100. :O
Texture is absolutely null. :(
In such days that you live and die by the sensor, I can't understand how can Samsung produce such crappy output.
Samsung is known for strange processing in their cameras. I think it is caused by software development mayhem that happens inside Samsung.
While it does pose an interesting competitor to the GH4, the main disadvantage is has is that lens mount, it's far less compatible than m43
I'm not Samsung fan, but at least they are trying to catchup in the game, this is what should be canon 7D.
Utilizing Samsung’s advanced BSI pixel technology, the new S5KVB2 sensor offers superior light absorption. By using 65-nanometer (nm) low-power copper process as well as fine design technology, this new imager satisfies the requirements for power efficiency and noiseless high quality imaging in high-end compact system camera formats.
The new S5KVB2 is the industry’s first APS-C sensor to adopt back-side illuminated (BSI) pixel technology. The BSI structure moves the metal layers to the rear side of the photodiode to reduce the loss of light. Applying BSI pixels, Samsung’s newest imager improves the light sensitivity of each pixel and increases light absorption in peripheral areas by approximately 30 percent, resulting in crisper, sharper images compared to a conventional front-side illumination (FSI) pixel-based imager.
By moving the position of the photo diode, the sensor’s metal wiring layout is better optimized for faster continuous speed. As a result, the S5KVB2 offers 30fps video recording at Ultra HD resolution, being capable of delivering ultimate video quality on a camera.
The imager adopted Samsung’s advanced 65nm low-power copper process, which is well ahead of 180nm aluminum process, generally used in the camera sensor industry. Based on the finer ICs and the use of copper, the 65nm copper process enables power consumption to be reduced dramatically compared to an imager based on a previous process technology. As a result, the new S5KVB2 imager has less thermal emissions.
Through the advanced fabrication process and IC design, the S5KVB2 also decreases random noise significantly.

More details about video mode on eoshd: "...The camera records H.265 at 80Mbit/s in Pro mode, 40Mbit/s in HQ mode..." Read the full review here: http://www.eoshd.com/2014/09/photokina-report-day-1-samsung-nx1-4k-mirrorless-camera-h-265/

If you look above, 80MBps was properly mentioned in Samsung presentation.
@Vitaliy_Kiselev I know: I linked the Samsung presentation. I just thought that it was interesting to know what bitrate is for 1080p
Focus peaking showed at 4:50
First impressions and some samples (in Spanish): http://www.quesabesde.com/noticias/samsung-nx1-analisis-fotos-video-50-150mm_12276
Camera has a virtually nonexistent EVF lag.

In the promotional material it also shows 50p/60p (2160)...
@Pedro_ES than you for the link, the 3 samples from there look very good, a little soft but very good. I hope in the final firmware they will tune the image quality to look great. If that's the case, we will finally have a great super 35mm 4K camera ( with full sensor readout).
Here is a nice pick with the camera :) http://1.static.img-dpreview.com/files/p/E~articles/6787212034/P9170090_1.jpeg
@driftwood If this is true about the 2160 at 50/60 fps This will be my next camera but I have searched all over and can't find any info about it being 2160 50/60 fps only 1080 50/60 fps.
Please be 2160 50/60 fps at $1500 its a steal
Jessops in the uk has it down as £1299 with a 16-50mm Lens
Ok, misread. In the official document its on 24p at 2160.
