I am happy to share with you the trailer for our Short Movie "Elementarschaden", which means as much as "Damage from natural Hazards" - about a fictional Incident, taking place during the real flood catastrophe in Germany, June 2013.

We shot on 5DMKII RAW and Zeiss Planar & Distagon Primes only. The movie is now applying in all major film festivals in germany, therefore I can only publish a trailer for now. I added English subtitles for your convenience.

I am happy to hear your thoughts! :)

regards

50mm F1.4 Zeiss Planar https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2806/50mm-f1.4-zeiss-planar Sat, 07 Apr 2012 20:13:48 +0000 digger 2806@/talks/discussions I have the Zeiss C/Y Mount 85mm f/1.4 from West Germany (with the ninja blade bokeh) and love it; it's probably the best lens I own. I'm deciding on the 50mm f/1.4 and want to know if there is much difference between the C/Y mount and recent ZF. The C/Y is much cheaper and if I'm using it mainly for the GH2 (or even on the 5D) why spend the extra money? Unless it's a better lens for some reason.

We shot a special flat profile on the FS-100 with Zeiss Super Speeds (per my suggestion). My friend and I were co-soundmen, all the way through from pre-post production.

Edit: they've disabled embedding. It is on this page, and is called "The Star". http://www.bestsemester.com/lafsc/

Now you can find out what cameras, what lenses, etc were used to shoot certain films, also if they were strictly DI, or transferred to film for their final master/negative.

Very interesting to see what lenses were used on certain films. I wish they had more details, such as which camera used which lenses when listing the cameras.

Commercial / promo for Sagene, Oslo, Norway - flow motion hack https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/4840/commercial-promo-for-sagene-oslo-norway-flow-motion-hack Mon, 08 Oct 2012 11:55:27 +0000 cekrem 4840@/talks/discussions http://vimeo.com/welterwerk/sagene

Welterwerk Filmkompani recently shot this short promo for Sagene, a district of Oslo, Norway. Shot exclusively on our hacked GH2. Zeiss glass! :) Time was short, and the budget was ridiculously low - but we’re quite happy with the result.

The rain-like, diagonal noise showed up in quite a few shots, but disappeared when transcoding in 5DtoRGB. Weird! Other than that, the GH2 - and the hack - performed like expected: top notch!

Enjoy! And if you haven’t already, check out Welterwerks own promo video: http://vimeo.com/welterwerk/welterwerk

Support a Lovecraftian horror short I've co-written and DPing on 16mm! https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/4692/support-a-lovecraftian-horror-short-ive-co-written-and-dping-on-16mm Mon, 24 Sep 2012 09:42:58 +0000 Gabel 4692@/talks/discussions Hello everybody!

I'm posting here to promote my short horror film, called Insane Madness. It's a short film, inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft and films like Evil Dead that I've helped co-write. The film plays with human mind, never knowing what's real and what's a dream. It's a period piece, set in the 80s, which we will shoot using time correct techniques in effects (all make up here) and visually. As such, the best way to do it is to shoot it on 16mm, especially as it's soon too late!

So my post here is to essentially spread the word, hoping both to get some donators (if you like the idea) and also hoping for people to share it, to spread the word. We've managed to raise $205 in the first 24 hours, plus we've got over 80 likes on our Facebook page in the same time (including Harold Skinner, gaffer for the majority of Fincher's movies). I'm selling this lens because it has to make way for my new 50mm 1.4 Carl Zeiss, Beautifull sharpenss, the loved '3d' effect of Zeiss And ofcourse the near perfect colour rendering!

Glass has no marks, no scratches, no fungus, no dust no cleaning marks, simply clean! Cosmetical it has some wear, some number indicators are slightly marked, but nevertheless this is not a issue, you can still read the f-stops, and meterings.

Adapter to EF mount (EOS) and it's suitable for Fullframe, and all other canon dSLR's, note that this also works on Nikon fullframe, Nex 5,6,7 Gh1,2,3 and ofcourse the soon to come Black magic cinema camera.

Location: Netherlands Shipping: Worldwide, but preffer European Union.

They are Carl Zeiss lenses in C/Y Mount. They work great for any kind of photography and video HDSLR work.

They are calibrated, have hard infinity stops and very smooth manual focus rings. The lenses are optically and cosmetically in amazing condition with no defects. There is no give whatsoever in the focus and it is silky smooth as should be. Please see the photographs. They can be used with just about any camera with the adapter. I do have some adapters for canon and m4/3.

I am in Europe (Ireland), shipping any where is no problem. I'm looking for E300 each, buyer pays postage and pay pal. Any questions please ask.image

Converting Zeiss Jena Biotar 25mm f/1.4 to M4/3 https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/3803/converting-zeiss-jena-biotar-25mm-f1.4-to-m43 Fri, 06 Jul 2012 17:11:17 +0000 rsg2033 3803@/talks/discussions I found a Zeiss Jena Biotar 25mm f/1.4 lens for relatively cheap, so I asked the seller what type of mount it was and he replied with, "Pentaflex". I've tried searching numerous forums and google about this style of mount and there really isn't very much information. I was wondering if anyone knew if the seller just made a mistake and it's actually M42 or if Pentaflex is a real mount. If Pentaflex is an accurate description for the mount on this lens, is it adaptable to M4/3?

Thank you in advance for any help.

THE LAST SHOT IS JUST A SHOT OF THE MOON with 300mm 2.8 and Tele extended. Detail is amazing... Lenses used:

Lumix/Leica 25mm 1.4 Tokina 11-16mm Canon 300mm L 2.8

Enjoy!

PS: download the 1080p version, still not as good as the raw footage but better than vimeo compression.
