First thing I imagine in my mind is using smartphone camera installed in same position as main mirrorless camera, but I wondering if it possible to use some dedicated device for streaming recording footage.

I remember that Zhiyun tried to add on their gimbals at 2018 web streaming feature via smartphone application, but that feature was disabled and no one used it. Maybe someone use his gimbal as streaming converter?

I got advice from local photo store to use wireless video transmitter and receiver on laptop with net-stick device, but I'd like to find all-in-one solution without laptop. Please write your suggestions.

I use Lumix S1 with Ronin S, that combo already heavy, so I looking for something lightweight.

Malviviendo, last episode of 3rd season (SPANISH) https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/10752/malviviendo-last-episode-of-3rd-season-spanish Tue, 08 Jul 2014 19:50:09 +0000 maxr 10752@/talks/discussions Malvivendo is a free online series done by a group of friends.
With this double episode we get to the end of the third season, maybe of the series. It has been an incredible adventure spanning some years and many hilarious moments. If any of you have had the opportunity of diving into Andalucia's culture (low culture, ha ha) you'll recognise, obviously exaggerated and with a satiric tone, many of the cultural and social references and values: drugs, partying, sex, cheating, stealing, deceiving, friendship, camaraderie, laziness, inventive solutions, loads and loads of humour and nonsense, racism, multiculturalism, whores, religious hypocrisy, homosexuality ambiguities, music, procrastination, etc. etc. I grew up there, so I'm at home. Unfortunately is spanish only with no subs.

They also made a shorter series El viaje de Peter McDowell prot. by a british visiting south Spain and his adventures while getting acquaintance with its peculiarities.

What is best way to convert for the web: 50p or 24p to 30p https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/7562/what-is-best-way-to-convert-for-the-web-50p-or-24p-to-30p Fri, 19 Jul 2013 15:22:25 +0000 andrevanberlo 7562@/talks/discussions I've bought 2 GH3's PAL and want to start recording videos for the web. Now i know that 30p is best for the web but what would be the best footage/way to convert and what program or hardware to use? Would like to have option to use footage for dvd.

50p to 30p or 24p to 30p

Does anyone know which would give the best results? Or would 24p itself work fine? The videos are only static shots of a guitar(lesson) so no panning.

A second question would be: i want to do live streaming with those 2 cams, would 24p be the best setting for live internet streaming? I've heard 25p is crappy and 50p not yet possible...

Thanks!

André

Griffin and Gretchen (Web Series) https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/6868/griffin-and-gretchen-web-series Wed, 01 May 2013 20:10:56 +0000 Mckinise 6868@/talks/discussions As many of you know I have created a Kickstarter to get my feature length motion picture into theaters. Yes, we will be paying to have it shown. If interested you can check it out at

http://Angelsaliensandmonsters.com

Anyway, a couple months ago I wrote, produced, directed, and starred in a short film. It was originally supposed to be a web series, but fate intervened.

Project Name: Griffin and Gretchen Duration: 3: 25 Seconds (Episode 1) Camera: Canon T2i

Story: First time directing with a first time DP. We had one day to shoot both episodes before the snowstorm hit.

We tiered the production to have actors arrive at specific times so we could make the most of the day. Didn't happen. Only one actor was on time, and that actor was the one scheduled for late afternoon. Needless to say we ended up way behind schedule.

Part One is more or less complete. Part Two missed the second half of the story. We ended up splicing together what we had to create a somewhat sensible story.

Production: So many mistakes. White balance was completely off. The sound was in cam, and a T2i will not win any awards for breath taking audio.

Editing was an adventure. It was too dark, too dark, too noisy, too quiet.

Overall: We learned quite a bit.

Just went live with video website https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/4241/just-went-live-with-video-website Tue, 14 Aug 2012 02:54:08 +0000 sam_rides_a_mtb 4241@/talks/discussions http://www.doitwithvideo.com

Just put together a website to showcase some of my work to potential clients. Could probably use some adjustments to give it a more professional look, though kind of stuck and not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be welcome though please go easy on me as this is my first attempt at web design. Thought about hiring someone to make it, though like the idea of being able to make changes myself. Also, will probably change the name, as I just found out someone on vimeo and twitter already use this name.

And if anyone would please leave a comment on the site, I would like to see how that goes from an admin pov.

About rules and content https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/2253/about-rules-and-content Sun, 12 Feb 2012 09:00:24 +0000 Vitaliy_Kiselev 2253@/talks/discussions Every morning, the business and political elite in the biggest province on Canada’s East Coast turns to an unlikely source of information about their own world.

Among all the online news organizations trying to find a way to profitability, consider AllNovaScotia.com, which has just celebrated 10 years online and now challenges its historic print rival for the attention of the province’s leaders.

It’s done that by not following the rules: It has a nearly impenetrable paywall, no social media presence, no multimedia, and only rare use of links. It doesn’t cover crime and barely covers sports and entertainment.

However, it delivers up-to-the minute coverage of business, city hall, and the provincial legislature via the web and apps for iOS and BlackBerry. It scoops its news rivals almost daily and has won loyal readers through dogged combing of public records and often by prying into the personal lives of the province’s movers and shakers.

The site is based in Halifax, the capital city of Nova Scotia, a province of just under a million people in Atlantic Canada. Ask 10 people on the street about AllNovaScotia and it’s likely eight will say they’ve never heard of it.

“I think it might be nine people,” says Parker Donham, a former journalist for the now-defunct Halifax Daily News, communications consultant, and blogger. “But the one who did would be an assistant deputy minister or a regional manager. Between people paying for it and a limited amount of advertising, they’ve got a business model that seems to work.”

“On the whole, I think they are the paper of record now,” adds Donham. “I don’t think there are many serious business or political people who don’t see that every morning.”
