Xiaomi 12x is basically the same phone as Xiaomi 12 with the exception of the older generation processor.

The difference in battery consumption is due to the always-on selfie camera feature of the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 newer processor.

Sound Devices (temporarily) end production of the 833 & MixPre3 mk2 https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/25722/sound-devices-temporarily-end-production-of-the-833-mixpre3-mk2 Mon, 07 Jun 2021 06:55:52 +0000 IronFilm 25722@/talks/discussions

Hello Sound Devices family. Due to global semiconductor shortages, we have sadly been forced to put production of the 833 and MixPre-3 II on a temporary hold. We expect we will be able to restart manufacturing the 833 in November. We don’t have a restart date for the MixPre-3 II yet but we will let you know as soon as possible.

The MixPre-3 II and 833 are not being discontinued. We will continue manufacturing them as soon as our parts arrive! Other 8-Series and MixPre II Series mixer-recorders will not be affected. Some of our resellers still have 833s and MixPre-3 IIs in stock.

Thank you so much for your support during these shortages. We appreciate you all!

Sad news to know you no longer can buy these, but also not a total surprise what with all the supply issues there have been in 2021/2020 across all industries.

Makes sense they'd discontinue (for now) the 833 and MixPre3, as they are each the cheapest models in their respective product lines (8 Series & MixPre Series), thus probably have the smallest profit margins.

Wasn't that long ago Sound Devices did a price hike of their products, but I guess that alone wasn't enough to dampen demand, and now they have to (short term) cancel a couple of products to help ration out their stocked supplies of components.

Speculations on the Future: Panasonic GH6, Sony A7000 and others... https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/17707/speculations-on-the-future-panasonic-gh6-sony-a7000-and-others... Sat, 09 Sep 2017 10:54:36 +0000 apefos 17707@/talks/discussions Do you think Panasonic will implement 8k video in the upcoming GH6 camera?

Will it have a new organic sensor with more dynamic range?

What about Sony? Will they release a 8k mirrorless?

What will be the future of Sony Sensors?

It seems Nikon is entering the mirrorless full frame game. What to expect?

FS: Iscomorphot 8/1,5X - Isco-Göttingen Anamorphic lens! https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/11125/fs-iscomorphot-815x-isco-goettingen-anamorphic-lens Tue, 26 Aug 2014 09:52:25 +0000 JCVD 11125@/talks/discussions Hello guys!

Up for sale this VERY RARE Iscomorphot 8/1,5X - Isco-Göttingen Anamorphic lens!

The lens is quite old, regarding this, it is in very good condition. It doesn't have scratches, haze or fungus, it only has coating marks on the front and rear elements. It looks scrary on the photos, but it is only coating and not a deep scratch, sometimes this happens with coatings on 40-50 years old german lenses. I never ever noticed any quality loss.

Since this is a very rare lens, the asking price is 1500 USD (I can accept EURO also). I am opened for offers too, so please PM me!

I am in the European Union, between EU member countries there is not costum duty tax! I ship worldwide!

I hope to be able to afford a GH4 after I sold this. :)

All the best to you guys!

GH2 post production -Premiere Pro CS6 https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/7773/gh2-post-production-premiere-pro-cs6 Tue, 13 Aug 2013 18:47:31 +0000 tokyo187 7773@/talks/discussions Pertaining to post production with the GH2 - Using slipstream 3 moon hack. As I attempt to bring in footage to Premier Pro CS6 the playback is hicuppy at best, starting with the audio cutting out. Would anyone have any workable preference for this situation. The media files all natively save to a private folder in which I transferred to my HDD. From there I took the footage into Premier. I began with opening the files, then after the hiccups, I decided to import, still same problems occur. Also using Dynamic Link, do you have to import all used media files to each different program?

Windows 8 Intel Corei7-3630QM Geforce GTX 680M / 4GB GDDR5 12GB RAM DDRIIII 750GB 7200RPM

hence, should have no problem running any of these programs in cohesion.

8bit color nonsense https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/5439/8bit-color-nonsense Mon, 10 Dec 2012 12:40:59 +0000 shian 5439@/talks/discussions Per the discussion that started in the GH3 thread: http://www.personal-view.com/talks/discussion/comment/101069#Comment_101069

Where it was stated that shooting flat in 8bit was a terrible idea, and the nonsense we've heard over and over that you can't bring that color back, which everyone who has seen my work knows is just not true.

While it is true you cannot magically turn 8 bit color into 32bit color. Working in a 32bit environment does allow your corrections to enhance your footage rather than deteriorate your footage.

@FilmingArt FCP X, Premiere Pro CS6, Vegas Pro 12, Smoke 2013, are all 32bit

Just go to my vimeo channel to see tons of video's shot using this method on 8bit cameras https://vimeo.com/channels/shianstorm

And then check these threads for why you are catastrophically wrong about "noise and all kinds of other problems." And welcome to the discussion.

Windows 8 expiriences and rants https://personal-view.com/talks/discussion/4393/windows-8-expiriences-and-rants Tue, 28 Aug 2012 15:26:25 +0000 endotoxic 4393@/talks/discussions Im using right now Windows 8 64bit release preview Build:8400.

The operating system is very fast in the instalation process, also the boot time. The new interface is a little bit misleading at the begining, but when you actually get over it you understad something like this:

Metro is host, and everything else is applications, just like regular Explorer in windows xp vista or win 7, but in this case Desktop for example is app not an user interface, wich can run apps until a limit, and give you the sense of being in windows but you are in metro, that handdles everithing in a macro level, you mail acounts, facebook acount, videos, cloud drive, everithing is now between your ID and what microsoft can get from it. Aplications like premiere runs free outside the desktop, but can be seen in desktop as regular but is only an ilution. Its seems like they have learned from Facebook that user is willing to give info in exchage of access.

Ive noticed that the video playback not only is natively more smooth, but also i dont know how to tell but the detail is better, my eye has memory of my own video shots, and they look much crisper in win 8, 1080p is more detailed in the same monitor while using same codecs, metro is doing something better with the hardware it has. The OS is very fast, and flows easy, even though glitches are evident, they come to ocurre in very wired ways. Its evident how they have done the OS to take multiple plataforms in acount, and multiple tasks. They take virtualization aproach very sirius and so dont expect any perfect scenario.

As premiere, CS5.5 runs smooth, but havent try hours editing yet.

The overral feeling is rapid response, low use of memory and the feeling of being not in deep control for advance users as previous versions.

Edit: Also the color space seem to be better handle, since i see more Dynamic range in some shoot i thought where crushed. Its strage, really. (As making this edit the Os crushed 2 times while running CPU-Z.)

System specs: Core i5 2500k at 4.3ghz 16gb Ram at 1333 1TB HDD capacity at 7200rpm as main drive Gforce GTX560 1024mb DDR5 Asus p67 deluxe
