Processors will be really hot
According to Extreme Player, the Raptor Lake desktop chip series will include 14 processor models ranging from four to 24 cores that will support 8 to 32 virtual threads. According to the source, the new chips will use three versions of the chips. The full version will contain 8 high-performance and 16 power-efficient cores. It will only be used by the Core i9-13900K, Core i9-13900KF, Core i9-13900 and Core i9-13900F models.
Processor models with the suffix "F" traditionally will be deprived of integrated graphics. Unfortunately, the Chinese source did not provide information on the operating clock range of the Raptor Lake chips. However, he indicated that chips without the "K" suffix will have a base frequency 1 GHz lower than unlocked K-series models.
Apparently, some of the cores will simply be disabled. Similar to the Core i9 models, these chips will be represented by four models, two of which have a claimed TDP of 65W and are not overclocked.
Core i5 models will be divided into K-series with B0 stepping dies and non-K-series with C0 stepping. According to another source cited by VideoCardz, the latter will use an updated Alder Lake crystal.
Mid-range and entry-level Raptor Lake processors will get 14, 10, or four physical cores. The slowest of them will be the Core i3-13100. It will receive only four high-performance cores and not a single energy efficient one.
