Camera Industry: In January around 60-70% of all present cameras manufacturing will stop

    Rumors in the industry are that drastic cuts on personell, factories and everything is being planned and soon will be implemented.

    Top management hopes to keep things running more or less same till end of hot sales season. But not much longer.

    It is expected that most cuts will be in the middle priced cameras range. Where up to 80% of models will be discontinued.

    Also big impact will be in entry level cameras where lot of older models will be no longer made.

    It is not clear that will happen to m43 from Panasonic, as situation inside company is bad. It had been loud voices and swearing during latest top managers meeting.
