Berlin/Wien, 30. August 2018. So viel Zoom in einer kompakten Ka- mera: Die DSC-HX99 und DSC-HX95 Cyber-shot Kameras mit einem Zoom von 24 bis 720 Millimetern sind die kleinsten ihrer Art weltweit. Im Innern beider Modelle gibt der BIONZ X Prozessor mit Front-End LSI den Takt vor. So sind bis zu zehn Bilder in Serie für maximal 14 Sekun- den am Stück und 4K Videos möglich. Der Autofokus greift nach spä- testens 0,09 Sekunden in Rekordzeit. Von ihren großen Brüdern aus der Alpha Serie haben die beiden kleinen Neulinge den Augen- Autofokus geerbt. Sogar RAW Aufnahmen sind fortan möglich. Wer möchte, kann den Fokuspunkt direkt auf dem Monitor mit der Finger- spitze wählen oder mit per Bluetooth verbundenem Smartphone die GPS Daten gleich mitspeichern.

Die beiden neuen HX99 und HX95 Kameras sind mit ihrem mächtigen Zoom jeder Fotoherausforderung unterwegs gewachsen. Um die Bild- qualität auch im Telebereich auf höchstmöglichem Niveau zu halten, garantiert der optische „SteadyShot“ Bildstabilisator verwacklungsfreie Bilder. Und damit man bei maximalem Zoomfaktor nicht den Überblick verliert, vergrößert der „Zoom Assistant“ auf Knopfdruck den Blickwin- kel, um kurzfristig mehr Umgebung im Bild zu haben.

Prozessor Power

Experten horchen auf, wenn sie hören, dass die neuen Kameras von Sony bei 4K Videos den Sensor vollständig auslesen und auf „Pixel Binning“ verzichten. So bleiben feinste Details erhalten, Moiré und an- dere unerwünschte Effekte werden auf ein Minimum reduziert. Mit ent- sprechend schneller Speicherkarte sind auch Zeitlupenaufnahmen mit bis zu 100 Frames pro Sekunde möglich. Und weil die meisten Motive sich nicht lange bitten lassen, erfasst der „Fast Intelligent“ Autofokus innerhalb von 0,09 Sekunden jede Person. Auf Wunsch erkennen die schlauen Kameras sogar die Augen derjeni- gen oder desjenigen vor der Linse und stellen direkt auf die Iris scharf. Wer Fotos gern am PC nachbearbeitet, kann im RAW Format fotogra- fieren – auf Wunsch bis ISO 6.400.

Intuitive und komfortable Bedienung

Bei der DSC-HX90 Kamera hatten viele einen Touchscreen auf der Kamerarückseite vermisst. Perfekt also, dass Sony in die neue DSC- HX99 sowohl einen „Touch Focus“ als auch einen „Touch Shutter“ inte- griert hat. Ab sofort lässt sich mit der Fingerkuppe der Autofokuspunkt verlegen oder die Kamera auslösen. Alternativ kann jederzeit der OLED Sucher genutzt werden. Wer die wichtigsten Kameraeinstellungen gern selbst festlegt und sich nicht auf die Automatik verlassen möchte, nutzt unter anderem den Objektivring bei der HX99. So lässt sich nicht nur Fernes nah heranhollen, sondern auch manuell scharfstellen. Sowohl die HX99 als auch die HX95 bieten im Menü den Unterpunkt „Mein Me- nü“, damit jeder die für ihn wichtigsten Kamerafunktionen an einem Punkt zusammenfassen kann. Bis zu 30 Funktionen lassen sich hier speichern.

Der LCD-Bildschirm an der Kamerarückseite lässt sich nicht nur für Selfies um 180 Grad drehen. Der im Vergleich zur DSC-HX90 verbes- serte Griff lässt die Kamera gut in der Hand liegen. Klar, dass die neu- en Kameras nicht nur Standortinformationen, sondern auch Fotos aus- tauschen können.

In addition to the extensive 24-720mm (1) zoom range, the versatile new ZEISS® Vario- Sonnar T* lens features Optical SteadyShot™ image stabilization, which effectively minimizes the camera shake and blur that often occurs during handheld and telephoto shooting. The new HX99 is also equipped with a Zoom Assist function that allows the user to zoom more accurately while shooting far away subjects by offering a quick, temporary zoom-out display to showcase a wider area.

Processing Power for Video and Stills

Thanks to its powerful BIONZ X processing engine, the new HX99 camera can capture stunning 4K (2) video with full pixel readout and no pixel binning, with minimal "moire" and "jaggies." The new model also is capable of shooting high-frame rate HD (6) video at up to 120 fps (7) to produce impressive slow-motion sequences during editing.

During still photography, the camera can acquire focus in as little as 0.09 seconds, and it can shoot continuously at up to 10 fps for up to 155 shots (8). The HX99 also is equipped with Eye AF technology, a feature made popular by Sony's acclaimed lineup of αTM interchangeable lens cameras that locks focus onto a subject's eye for compelling portrait and fast-action photography. The camera also is capable of shooting images in RAW format and has a maximum ISO of 6400 (9).

Intuitive and Comfortable Operation

The versatile HX99 travel camera includes Touch Focus and Touch Shutter functionality for added convenience, as well as a Touch Pad function for smooth focus point shifting while using the retractable OLED Tru-Finder. The camera also has a Control Ring that can be customized with functions such as manual focus or step zooming, as well as a customizable 'My Menu' option for instant recall of up to 30 different settings.

The new camera has a 180-degree tiltable LCD screen that allows for easy framing of self-portraits and group shots, a pop up electronic viewfinder and an upgraded grip that offers a firm hold and greater stability during shooting. It also offers location data acquisition (10) via Bluetooth®, which can collect and record location data from a connected mobile device, and proxy recording that allows instant transfers to smartphones or websites for quick sharing.
