Samsung just announced a 256GB microSDXC card, setting a new record in storage density.
The card is said to be sold starting in May for ~ 250,- € a piece, and is said to be water protected according to IPX7, enduring temperatures from -25°C bis +85°C.
Read and write speeds of the card are 95MB/s and 90MB/s, respectively, great for high resolution photography and 4K video recording. The card is also waterproof (down to 1 meter for 30 min), X-ray proof, and magnet proof.
Samsung will launch its new storage card in the U.S., Europe, China and beyond (totaling 50+ countries) next month for $249.99.
What cameras use MicroSD that use that speed? GoPro?
Action cameras, smartphones, from cameras - Samsung NX mini used one.
And utilizes that speed? I suppose build it and they will come. Too bad we don't see any new CFast2.0 cards coming out though...
Well, good latest smartphones can write 4K videos at high bitrates.
